Chalte Chalte

I really enjoyed this movie. Admittedly, it was about an hour too long but I am a huge fan of Shahrukh Khan and Rani Murkerjee so, I found it to be delightful. Sure, the plot is weak at times and I'd recommend 'Kuch Kuch Hota Hai' or 'Diwale Dulhania Le Jayenge' over this anyday but still, it's quite entertaining. The music in the film is simply one of the best I've heard in any Indian movie, the singing...the dancing...EVERYTHING is so wonderful and will have you humming for days. The dvd also contains the music videos in separate chapters so that's a nice addition. LOVE this film and I definitely recommend it. If you like the chemistry between Shahrukh and Rani, then you'll love this one!

Shah Rukh Khan is my favorite actor. I enjoy seeing Rani Mukerji paired with him. This film was well done. It showed some of the difficulties couples might face after marriage. One thing that stood out to me, which bothered me, was that the "in-laws" of Rani's character seemed prejudiced against Shah Rukh Khan's character. I believe that once a family member has married someone, the rest of the family should be respectful and supportive of that choice and welcome and love the new spouse. Most romantic films focus on the relationship up until marriage, with the idea that the couple will live "Happily Ever After". However, the reality is that relationships need to be cared for after marriage. And this film gives a glimpse into the reality of marriage.

I have only seen a handful of Shah Rukh Khan's films but after My Name is Khan, this one is also on my list of favorite of his films. Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge was better of course. And then there's Kal Ho Naa Ho and Om Shanti Om, Wow what great films! I think my least favorite so far is King Uncle or phir bhi bhi dil hai hindustani. But have enjoyed all the films I have seen so far by mr Khan. He is such an amazing, talented, charismatic actor. And I love his dimples. So glad for the subtitles in English or I would not have a clue what they were saying. I will continue to check out this actor's films.

At the opening of this movie you hear 80's talk show music and see a group of clearly over-caffeinated friends gossiping about Raj and Priya's love story. The actors in this scene don't ring true to me, don't speak of their friends deep love or problems with sincerity or feeling. After this scene the movie is amazing. Shah Rukh's character (Raj) is extremely passionate with all the positive and negative aspects that come along with that quality. I do think his character is a little inconsistent. He goes so far out of his way for Priya when he wants to marry her, but after they get married he refuses to do even the simplest things that would mean a lot to her. Most men are like this in real life, but they don't set the bar as high in the beginning as Raj does. Rani is gorgeous and wonderful as always. She has such grace and a quiet dignity. She and Kajol are some of most beautiful actresses, up there with Audrey Hepburn and Elizabeth Taylor. I love the songs but am very disappointed that there are no subtitles for the songs. I feel like I missed a lot because the movie shows their love story from the outside but the songs are about what's going on on the inside; their thoughts, feelings, and desires. The subtitles in general are horrible. Just about any word over four letters is misspelled and the grammar and wording is obviously from someone not comfortable with the English language. But the movie is enjoyable regardless. I absolutely love the scene with a pitiful Raj sobbing on his knees at the airport. The man just needs to be hugged! How can she possibly walk away from this sweet, beautiful man that is crying in public over her?! Shah Rukh Khan is a phenomenon. A beautiful, talented phenomenon.

As in all Hindi movies, Chalte Chalte is about love, and the lovers, Shah Rukh Khan and Rani Mukerjee are complete opposites in personality and their individual businesses. How they meet then get to know each other after they are married, tests their marriage to its limits, as well as their love and commitment. Will love overcome differences? It's worth watching the outcome. The movie has some super songs by some of our favourite singers Abjijeet, Udit Narayan, Alka Yagnik, Sonu Nigam and Sukwinder Singh. They all add to making this a super movie.

The movie is very interesting, touching, depicting real family problems that are so common; I liked it a lot; SRK is a great actor with huge talent; the songs and music are so beautiful!

Shahrukh Khan is an incredible actor. I own so many of his movies.He is very attractive and so romantic. I love his voice.I would love to meet him. I always imaging that I am the actress acting with him.

Having read the reviews, I'm glad I read them after I saw the movie. Had I read them before, I might never have seen this interesting little film.First, I will say that a lot of Bollywood films seem to start out funny and romantic, roping you into the characters. About half way through, they often get more dramatic, and here is where you get the meat of the story. Chalte Chalte was no different. I liked this movie. I always like SRK and RM, but especially together. They have a great chemistry. I liked that neither of the characters is flawless. People aren't. We all have sides to us that aren't particularly likeable, but it's from there that we grow. Real love is taking the good with the not so good, and the relationship in this movie was believeable. I also liked the way it ended because people don't change overnight, old habits don't just disappear, although we may want them to, even desperately so. It takes time. I felt these characters would probably tackle their issues many more times in the future, but this round made them realize that they would have to work on it if they were going to stay together and make their dreams a reality. Well done.

I think this film was wonderful!The quality of the sound and video is brilliant and perfectly in time..I loved it sooo much that I just cant stop watching it.. Ive watched it like more than 7 times now and I only recieved it 3 days ago.... I will never get bored of this film. It is brilliant and i think it is the best of Rani and Shahrukh together. The only thing is that it is like 3 hours long.. and that's a problem because you don't even feel like taking a break (because of how lovely it is) so that means you'll be sitting there for 3 hours. Some parts made me cry, even the fourth time I watched it. The songs are well shooted and have a nice meaning. I recommend this to everyone!!

Great product and delivery

One of my all time favs with SRK staring in a romantic film with great songs and a really good story line. I would recommend this to anyone who wants to either watch a Bollywood film for the first time or just simply add this to your collection.
