Save your money, overpriced and Underwhelming.
Not very extensive information provided when you consider the cost of this book. Small, 191 pages and not a coherent or cohesive flow to the text. The book reads as though each attorney got aproximately 20 pages to say everything they need to say about their Elder Abuse Litigation Practice, but that is no where near enough room. My advice is save your ($65 plus in my case) money and seek out other practice guide material. This book should cost no more than $25 maximum and is a shamefully overpriced series of "tips and tricks" which is already getting outdated. Everything I've read in this "book" (I would never call this a text) is readily available online. Issues not discussed include the CCP 338 issue re: Statutory Cause of Action in Elder Abuse Litigation relating to Statute of Limitations and the book does not provide even a basic suggested template for pleading a complaint, which is of ultimate importance as the cause of action requires "fact pleading" (not discussed). Again, save your money. This is clearly a business venture for one or more of the authors and not very helpful.
