Perfect CO2 tank for refilling Drinkmate tank
It’s a little pricey (though that seems to be the way these things go) but has met my needs for refilling a Drinkmate CO2 bottle. I have had this filled two or three times now, with no problems. The quality seems good, though I do wish the knob were metal instead of plastic, which seems like an unnecessary cost-cutting move. But yeah, this plus a simple adapter equals saving a ton of money on your CO2 needs. Go for it.

Good Quality, Current Hydro Test Date
I was a bit skeptical due to some reviews showing hydro test dates being 1.5+ years ago. However, this wasn't my experience. Mine shipped with a test date of April 2023 (as shown in picture). 2 months old. Not bad at all.I haven't put pressure in it yet, so haven't had the opportunity to test for leaks. However; given the quality, I expect it to do just fine. The only grievance I have is the plastic knob. It is a high quality, thick plastic so it shouldn't be a problem. Metal would have been ideal, but this is a preference and doesn't warrant deducting a star from the review considering the price and ship time (1-day).Overall, great looking and great build quality. Getting it filled tomorrow, so I will update my review if something goes wrong.

Got what I paid for, no complaints yet.
Got this to go with a soda home machine that a friend recommended and already did my first fill no issues and tank seemed to be safe and good condition after about a month of use.

Original Kegco 5lb. CO2, Drinkmate & Sodastream usage
Ships from Amazon.com - Sold by Amazon.com*Update - It's NOT a Siphon Tank,You will have to Invert it (place it facing valve down at 45 degree, so the liquid CO2 can be filled into your small tanks)I went with the Kegco 5lb CO2 tank instead of the other ones here on Amazon base on the overall looks, reviews and cost. Also that this came Next Day via Prime.Mine is just as pictured, well package, no damage. It does have a stamp date of 02/2021 (Purchase on May 26, 2022).After 5 yrs from stamped date, you will have to get it re-tested ($35-$45 at a Fire Extinguisher location) with a New stamp or just do a trade-in when at certain CO2 locations that only do exchanges.I did a lot of research on my area and found 2 location (one is 35 miles ($15 to re-fill), one is 14 miles ($20 to re-fill)) away from me that Re-fills CO2 tanks with Food grade CO2 while you wait.My usage for this tank is to refill my Drinkmate & Sodastream CO2 canisters that came with the unit. I'll start with this 5lb for now, might get a 10lb later or upgrade to a 20lb but that might be to large & heavy to carry. Why not direct connect them to the CO2 tank itself? Because I would need a Regulator and set it to 12 PSI or else the Drinkmate & Sodastream can break under high pressure. Many people have had their units fail and not understand why.

Very Disappointed. Cylinder >2 years old
***update***Received my replacement 09/11/23 & surprise!!! It was actually a Kegco cylinder. It came packaged is white Kegco branded box wrapped in a protective mesh sleeve & bubble wrap. The cylinder was engraved with Kegco & the branding was printed on the side as well. So it was a night & day difference from the 1st cylinder that was sent to me. Both cylinders were shipped from Amazon. Was someone trying to rip me off? Bait & switch???Had it filled the next day 09/12/23. Had it, in the box, strapped with the seatbelt in my vehicle while transporting it home, so it doesn't roll around. I was stopped at a traffic light when suddenly CO2 gasses released, filling my passenger compartment. I call the store that filled my CO2 & was told it's probably the pressure relief valve was bad. I brought it back for them to test & possibly replace the pressure relief valve. They found that was not the issue but it was the actual valve body that was leaking. Most likely cause from a manufacturing defect (foreign made parts). I told them I had just purchased the cylinder new from Amazon. They said i could return it to Amazon or have them replace the valve. I asked how much would it cost for a new valve & they were so kind to offer replacing my valve free of charge. But that might not be the case for everyone else, so use caution. Maybe buy local from a reputable dealer.****Just received my 5lb cylinder today 09/09/23. 1st thing I noticed it was not in a Kegco box but just in a clear plastic bag & not shiny aluminum Kegco finish on the cylinder. 2nd there wasn't any brand logo/marking, it's just a generic aluminum cylinder. 3rd was the certification date stamp is from 07/21. That over two years ago. So $100 bottle has loss 40% of its fillable life before you have to find somewhere & shell out $50 for recertification. Very disappointing. I requested a replacement immediately. Hopefully the replacement is the proper cylinder with a more recent certification date. I'll update my review once I receive the replacement cylinder. Fingers crossed. 🤞
