My cat has very long, dense fur that is prone to matting and LOTS of shedding. I have tried almost every brush on the market, but regular brushing just doesn’t get all the way through his coat to be effective. By following the very simple instructions printed on the back of the box for this grooming tool, I am able to completely get through all of his dense fur, gently work through mats, and greatly reduce his shedding. And he enjoys being groomed with it! I try to use this twice a day - once in the morning for about 5 minutes and then again for about 10-15 minutes in the evening while he sits in my lap during tv watching time.

Absolutely hands down the best tool I have ever bought to battle mats on my long haired CH kitty! For years I have brushed and had to cut mats out of her back. This was easy to use and worked through the mats without pulling or hurting her. Her coat has never looked better! Worth every penny!!

I have a long-haired cat that was adopted from a hoarding situation. He does not like to be picked up or handled in any way and is COVERED with mats that ordinary brushes or combs won't remove. I ordered this dematting tool with low expectations. It turned out to be a MIRACLE device! I can't believe how easily it removes mats. In 2 days I've gotten about half the mats out of him. He hates it, or course, but I don't believe it causes pain. My other cats who are short-haired and have no mats LOVE to be combed with it. This was well worth the (low) price! I would highly recommend for a matted cat. I would give it 10 stars if I could.

Really works well on my medium haired cat if you follow directions and the mats are not too wide. Excellent for cats with undercoats. Well tolerated by my "diva" cats. Good value. Would give 5 stars but a lot of hair has to be "caught" as it's flying around or still on the cat (as opposed to fully accumulating in the comb).

Our Maine Coon gets so tangled and matted, and she is so strong that it is hard to get her to sit for more than a minute of brushing. The first session with this I got more fur cleaned up around her ruff and chest than I can usually get in 4-5 brushing sessions over a couple of days. And no cries of a hard tug hurting her.

This is a great brush for my long hair older cat that I am having trouble keeping up with her matting. First time I tried it, took out massive amounts of dead fur and cut right through small to medium size tangled knots without any real squawking from my cat. I was pleased, to say the least. Using it now to maintain a smooth coat.

This brush is great for my Ragamuffin cat! She is very long haired and this brush keeps her combed out to prevent matted fur! She likes it too!! Definitely recommend this brush!

Did not work well on my old cat with tangles.
