MICHAEL'S VISITING HOURS/ALL MASK,NO MICHAEL
Halloween 2 & 3. R1 U.S DVD double pack. R-rated.Halloween 2, 1981. The picture quality's fantastic, a thousandtimes better than my previous version, it's widescreen 2.35:1.Already typed about this, but here's a bit more anyway. Thisis how you make a great sequel, claustrophobic hospitalenvironment and Michael not obeying the strict patientwaiting list. Superb. Did my checking & this version is uncut, the hot tub/bath sequence is here. Run time:1hr 32min 24sec.Extras: cast&filmmakers bios(i think, not checked) trailerdvd newsletter? production notes.Halloween 3: Season of the Witch. R1 DVD U.S release R-rated.1982. The picture quality (like pt 2) is truly excellent, widescreen, 2.35:1. Stonehenge, Tom Atkins & masks, mad as you like entry in the Halloween series. Very differentbut bags of atmosphere, some love this film, some hate it.I think it's brilliant, easily the best double pack i own.Just like part 2, part 3 is also uncut-it's got the 'bug crawl'.Run time: 1hr 37min 53sec. Extras: zilch.RAFFERTY'S DELUXE

II is the best Michael Myers film, III is my fav in the series
This is a fantastic double feature! I love Halloween II even more than the first, because of the creepy hospital setting (liminal spaces freak me out) and the great tension-building throughout. The score, while different to the first, is still very good (a solid remix of the OG theme). It flows very well as a double-feature, if watched back-to-back with the first. Same directing style, same visuals, same atmosphere. While Michael is a bit more human this time (which I dislike), he's still very intimidating and brutal. Also the kills are the best in the series, with the hot tub kill being particularly brutal and awesome! As for Halloween III, it is my favorite Halloween film. I know its weird (what were they smoking when they wrote this?) and crazy, and unrelated to the rest of the series, but all of that is kind of why I love it. One of the most evil villains in cinema, an AMAZING score, Tom Atkins' mustache, and great practical effects, make it a total blast to watch every year on October 31st. Two thumbs way up!

pretty sure this is the only release with a decent ...
the picture on both films is bluray quality, and both are uncut, pretty sure this is the only release with a decent picture of Halloween II until the scream factory releases came out

Great Movies
It's a little confusing as to why Halloween II & Halloween III: Season of the Witch are bundled together as opposed to Halloween & Halloween II, considering Halloween III is an outlier of the franchise that has nothing to do with the rest of the franchise (although it's easily one of my personal favorites in the franchise). That being said, these discs are definitely better than the DVD release of the original Halloween. At the very least, this double feature set offers a subtitle track for each of the films.Halloween II is a direct sequel of the original, overlapping with the end of the original film, so it's not one you can really watch on its own for your first time. Halloween III, on the other hand, was originally going to be the first in a series of Halloween movies released every year that was to be part of an unrelated anthology series, and thus can be viewed separately from all of the others.
