Great customer service.
I don't know about the phone...as the default setting is 'maximum wireless' (Seimen's fault) and I cannot set it up due to heavy radiation(I am electrosensitive) but the customer service with this firm is excellent! They offered to pay for return. I am keeping the phones in case a friend can set up. They come with instructions only in Italian but customer service will link you to instructions in English. They are decent human beings at this company! Rare. Probably worth the trouble to buy and experiment with, but I don't yet know for sure. If I succeed in setting them up and measure lower radiation (I have 4 meters) I will post again.

good quality cordless phone
I purchased the A540 from retailer in Saudi Arabia because significantly less expensive than Panasonic. Box was shopworn and I had low expectations of performance. However - range is good, works through-out our 3 story condo. Speaker is clear and volume acceptable. Battery life is excellent off the charger. Programming, menu, redial, callback features are from the 90s, clunky and confusing to use but overall a good phone. rs
