Best ball suet around and at a great price!

The woodpeckers really like this stuff. The little birds eat it sometimes. I like these balls of suet better than the messy squares. Very expensive though but you pay a high price for convenience. Can't really comment on flavor but woodpeckers love it. And the squirrels stay away from it. I like the hot pepper products however they tend to be on the expensive side. But the squirrels really don't like it which makes me very happy indeed!!!

I bought these when I got a suet ball attachment for my Bird Buddy. The quality of the suet seems fine (birds like it, squirrels too it seems) but the ball size is too large for the bird buddy product. I also got another feeder that is designed for suet balls and these are even a little large for that. Not such a big deal to reform them with your hands to fit but just don't be surprised. Not sure what feeder they are designed for.

Not messy.

My favorite thing about the suet balls? Mess free!!! With most of the other bird food I've put out, a lot of it ends up on the ground. Not only is that messy, but my dog loves it a bit too much. Happy to try these suet balls and have found them to be mess free. It attacts a variety of birds, including personal favorite pileated woodpackers. Depending on the time of year, a single pack of the four balls can last a day or a week. The only downside is the cost. I have discovered them at a local farm store and can save $10 by buying local. When they are out of stock, or I can't get to the store, ordering from Amazon has been a convenient option.

Year round, all types of birds love these.

A bit pricey but I thought I would give them a try. The woodpeckers seems to love these!
