The shelf unit was so easy to put up. It had perfect space and looks amazing . We bought 3 other different shelves the same time. My husband had a terrible time with the other shelves putting them together. This shelve was easy and I didn’t hear one negative peep when he opened the box and put it together . Suggestion if you have a husband that gets cranky puttting things together , Spend the extra money and BUY this shelving product. Happy wife!

The Origami storage racks are great! I purchased 2 of them when it was offered on Amazon's Gold Box Deal of the Day. I purchased the Origami R5-01W model with wheels because I might occasionally need to move or relocate the storage racks after installation. I purchased one for use in my kitchen and one for use in my home office.The storage racks arrived folded up flat in boxes. Inside the boxes, they were enclosed in plastic bags for protection. After being removed from the boxes and plastic bags, they opened up effortlessly by unlocking a catch lever that keeps them locked together. Once the storage rack is opened, there is a catch lock mechanism located on the back of it that must be engaged to provide stability and complete setup. The storage racks are tall, wide and deep. Each storage rack shelf is about 35.8" wide x 20.85" deep and each storage rack stands 60" high, when assembled. I like the way these storage racks are designed. The quality is actually much better than I expected. They are very well constructed, nicely finished and very strong.Setup was a snap! No nuts, bolts, parts lists or instructions were needed because no assembly was required! I removed the storage rack from the box, placed it on its side, attached the wheels (A double sided wrench is included in the shipping box to facilitate attachment of the wheels to the storage rack.), stood it up on the wheels and snapped the top shelf down.Note: Folding over the top shelf and locking it down while the storage rack is standing up can be a problem if you are assembling it in an area with a very low ceiling. However, if you have this problem, you can easily just lay the storage rack down on its side, fold the top shelf over and lock it down. Then you can just stand the storage rack up on its wheels and roll it wherever you want to position it.A set of four wheels is included with each Origami R5-01W storage rack. Two of the four wheels are locking wheels. The locking wheels help keep the storage rack from accidently moving after installation. I put the locking wheels on the front of the storage racks as shown in the pictures on the boxes.The 4 wheels included with the Origami R5-01W storage rack are a bit small and the maximum weight capacity (storage rack with wheels installed) is 75 pounds per shelf. Caution: This weight capacity must be evenly distributed on the shelf. Place heavier items on the bottom shelves. These Origami storage racks are designed for use on hard, flat and level surfaces. Do not exceed the, maximum weight capacity.If you desire more weight capacity and/or easier movement of the storage rack with wheels, you can easily replace the 4 smaller wheels included with the Origami R5-01W storage rack with a set of Origami Shelf Heavy Duty Wheels.I decided to purchase 2 sets of the Origami Shelf Heavy Duty Wheels because the wheels are thicker, larger and the maximum weight capacity (storage rack with heavy duty wheels installed) is 170 pounds per shelf. Caution: This weight capacity must be evenly distributed on the shelf. Place heavier items on the bottom shelves. These storage racks are designed for use on hard, flat and level surfaces. Do not exceed the, maximum weight capacity. The Origami Shelf Heavy Duty Wheels facilitate easier and safer movement or relocation of the storage racks after installation.Actually, if you want to install the storage racks with wheels, I would suggest purchasing the storage racks without the wheels and purchasing a set of the Origami Shelf Heavy Duty Wheels separately. Otherwise, you might end up with unused sets of the smaller wheels that are included in the boxes with the Origami R5-01W Storage Racks (Like I did).Note: If you have no need to move the storage rack after setup and you do not want to use wheels, I would suggest purchasing the Origami R5-01 General Purpose 4-Shelf Steel Collapsible Storage Rack (no wheels). Installed without wheels, the maximum weight capacity for the Origami R5-01 is 250 pounds per shelf on level surface with weight evenly distributed. It may be a great choice for use in a garage, office or warehouse.The AMAZON Product Information Technical Details webpages do not give accurate information concerning the dimensions of the storage rack wheels. For the wheels included in the box with the Origami R5-01W storage rack, Product Information Technical Detail specifies the following approximate wheel dimensions: (5.2 x 5.5 x 2 inches). The wheels that I actually received have the following approximate dimensions: (3 1/2 x 1 7/8 x 7/8 inches). The wheels including the housing extend approximately 2.5 inches from the bottom of the storage rack after installation. The height of the storage rack with these wheels installed is approximately 62.5 inches.For the wheels included in the box with the Origami Shelf Heavy Duty Wheels, Product Information Technical Detail specifies the following approximate wheel dimensions: (7.2 x 7.5 x 2.8 inches). The wheels that I actually received have the following approximate dimensions: (5.5 x 3 x 1 inch). The heavy duty wheels including the housing extend approximately 3.5 inches from the bottom of the storage rack after installation. The height of the storage rack with these wheels installed is approximately 63.5 inches.Without wheels installed, the size dimensions of the Origami storage rack when folded are approximately 20 ¼" W x 2 ½" D x 60" high.With the Origami Shelf Wheels (smaller wheels) installed, the size dimensions of the Origami storage rack when folded are approximately 20 ¼" W x 2 ½" D x 62 ½" high.With the Origami Shelf Heavy Duty Wheels installed, the size dimensions of the Origami storage rack when folded are approximately 20 ¼" W x 2 ½" D x 63 ½" high.The Origami General Purpose 4-Shelf Steel Collapsible Storage Racks are a great buy! They are just perfect for my needs. I especially like the way that the storage racks easily fold up and roll out of the way when you don't need them. They take up very little space when folded, yet they provide a lot of storage space when unfolded. I would definitely recommend the Origami Storage Racks to others.

I purchased one of these carts to hold cuttings and rootings that I take to propagate plants from my garden. It worked so well for this purpose that I purchased a second one (see photo). I have them out on a covered patio outside my front door. They're sturdy enough for this purpose, but not super-heavy. They have enough room to hold many pots and to allow easy access for watering and maintenance of the plants while they're getting established. I haven't had them long enough to know how well they'll hold up over time to being outside - we're in Florida, so we get a sustained period of very hot weather, typically a lot of summer rain, humidity and blistering sun in the summer. So, I'll have to wait to see how well they last. These carts are incredibly easy to assemble, they roll pretty well on the provided casters, and the casters are lockable to hold them in place once they're positioned. So far, so good.

We loved how easy it was set-up. Open the box take out, unfold and put wheels on it. If we ever need astand , this is the one we would choose over all others!

Purchased two units and they work great in the odd storage space that is under the staircase. The shelving wheels provide flexibility.

Am loving these Origami shelves, which I purchased on sale (doubly loving for that reason!). Originally, I had planned on using the unit in my storage space so that I could put a lot more in it, with the flexibility of rolling the shelves in and out to access the items stored.However, I ended up having to declutter my living area, and now am using it as a bookshelf, for which use it works marvelously, and have stored some other items needed on the top shelf.Uses for these shelving units are only limited by your imagination. I will probably buy another shelving unit to use in my storage space, and may move this one to a different location in my living space. It is really great to have the wheels, as this would make it easy for me as a senior woman to rearrange furniture; Also requiring essentially no assembly is another strong feature. The pewter color is not quite as industrial as anticipated; it tends to blend well with decor in the living area. Since the unit was originally purchased for a storage space, I did not anticipate that it would work for me outside of that usage, but changed my mind on that matter.

This metal rack is fantastic. I was able to pull it apart flip over the top and lock it and put all four wheels on in less than 30 minutes and I’m 77 years old. It’s sturdy and easy to move from one place to another. I bought one and a few months later I bought another one.

Origami shelves are my favorite shelves and this is my 6th one. Just unfold, swing the top shelf in place and you’re done! Unless you install the wheels … then maybe five minutes of your time.Plus they are easy to fold up and store when not in use. As long as these are available, I’ll never assemble shelves again. Highly recommended.

Excellent product, I'm using as a poor mans camera cart. Could be deeper/wider but good price for a pretty robust tool that's well designed and pretty strong. Delivery was quite quick too

Seriously if there was a Nobel Prize for Shelf Design, this would win. I have bought shelving units across the years of all sizes from every brick and mortar and virtual vendor that you can think of both in person and online. Living alone I've always been the one to assemble everything. Coffee tables, bookshelves, end tables, microwave carts, computer chairs, computer desks, garden carts and greenhouses -you name it I've used an Allen key on it. At one job I even assembled the housekeeping carts and most of the guest chairs for the guest rooms as well as the bell carts. Hands down this was the most pleasurable experience I've ever had assembling anything. I want to buy more of these even though I don't need them just so I can have the fun of doing it over. It's also visually appealing and extremely functional.

I was looking for a solid, collapsible, shelving unit. I didn’t want something that requires a long time to put together, and on the same hand, something that can easily folded away when not needed. Looking in amazon site, there were so many choices from wood, to lightweight recycled wood that were easy to put together, for cheaper, but not collapsible. How much space it will take up was a concern to me as I already hand another shelf built on the other side of the space. Thinking about enough space to still walk around…. but somehow I kept coming back to this. I took the plunge as I saw the many ways I would be able to use this for years to come. Amazon delivery was pretty quickly. The box was pretty hefty for a small person but not unmanageable to pick up and bring in. I ordered the small size as my intention was to use it as shelving unit for 3 of my grow domes. I couldn’t find a 3-shelving unit that would fit just right to my designated space. There must’ve been a few, but not to the level of the quality i see of this product, and the other ones were cheaper but not collapsible or foldable. In my mind, investing a little more was a sound plan. I could visualize that the small size would fit in this little space I needed shelving in, and it would work within my other shelves. It also won’t require much manual labor to put together. Where’s it’s mostly still all snow where my outdoor garden is located, this shelving unit will help me get organized and not have ally my grow domes taking over my kitchen table and all available space in my house. As I opened the box, i was pleasantly surprised that the finish was as per advertised. I mean I saw the video and everything, but every consumer has had the experience where the product received wasn’t like the picture advertised, so of course, there was some doubt. My immediate reaction during unboxing was it was worth the taking that plunge. Seeing the product and being able to touch it is different from a picture or watching a video. It’s a solid piece of collapsible/foldable item, and all I had to do was take it out from the box and plastic (it’s folded), unfold, (be conscious of your hand placement to avoid getting your hand caught in between the parts while unfolding) and then add the 4 wheels. That was the extent of my labour (came with a little tool for tightening the wheels) and I was done. In reality, I didn’t even read the instructions. It only required common sense and my eyes and 2 hands. You look at the parts, you can figure out how to put it together. I wasn’t able to take a video of unfolding and putting the wheels in place, as this was a 2-hand kind of job. However, I did post a picture after I got it situated, in my indoor makeshift green house, and my grow domes sitting on the shelves. This is a really good shelving unit. It’s sturdy, really nice finish, can be used for multiple purposes for years to come, and at the same time, can also be easily folded up for quick storage if not needed. If anyone complains about pinched skin or hand in the future, it won’t be against the product, but carelessness of the user by not using PPE or watching hand placement. As with all foldable items, there is a possibility of pinched skin/hand, but that is usually tied to user carelessness. I really like and recommend this product, and I hope the company will keep it affordable like this in the future. Works really well for small spaces, and the wheels are so smooth and convenient.

I bought two of these shelves previously and they were awesome. Shipped and packed well. I ordered two more andthey came in separate deliveries. I wasn’t home when they were delivered and my hubby took them out of there boxes and set them in my storage area. He said boxes were pretty torn up when came. I looked at them a few days later. One was perfect and the other one the bottom was bent and the shelving tines were bent. The top of shelf had some dents in it. My hubby didn’t set them up when we got them so he didn’t see it was damaged. Because we had already cut and recycled boxes I couldn't send it back. Really disappointed on the damage.

They weren't kidding about setting up in seconds - just open the clip, pull the sides apart, lock a latch, and swing down a shelf - and you're ready to go! I have used this in the garage and for portable expos as a handy storage shelf. The instructions say the shelves are rated for 250 pounds each (when no castors are installed), but be careful to spread the weight as evenly as possible. I, well, weigh about as much as the shelf weight capacity, and when I first got the unit I gingerly tested the shelf by allowing my full weight to rest on the top. It felt solid and nothing bent. But the second time I tried this test, I, well, OK, I sat on the top shelf, and bent it.Very handy but mostly useful if you set up and take down things on the go such as for trade shows or competitions. Shelving has a way of getting filled with stuff otherwise, which kind of defeats the purpose of the portability!
