Great for all ages
My 5-yr-old son LOVES the Cars2 video game. The best part is the multiplayer where you can play together in little battles or races or whatever. The "attack" and "hunter" and "disruptor" modes are a blast. We all like playing together or watching our son race. He giggles constantly. There's a ton of the Cars2 characters and they are fun to listen to. I won't say that the game is very easy, but we have unlocked ALL the cars and tracks (with Dad's help and the Amazon.com unlimited turbo bonus when you order!). Overall, if you liked MarioKart for Wii and have a Cars fan in your house, you can't go wrong with this one. Very recommended!

FOLLOW THE AGES SUGGESTIONS
I purchased this game for my children which are under 10, It was a little bit complicated for them due to their age but is amazing how young children are capable to learn something new very fast and find the way to play it, I personally found it more complicated than they did. But a couple of nephews over 10 came over to play with it, and they really love it, it is a very entertaining game and also a little bit of a challenge for the grown ups.

My 4 year old grandson now has both "CARS" video games and can't get enough of them.
My 4 year old grandson loves anything "Cars" related and now has both of the video games. Last year I purchased the original "Cars" game for him and purchased the "Cars 2" game just last week. He can't get enough of either one and goes back and forth between them. The "Story Mode" on the first game allows a child to drive "Lightning McQueen" all around Radiator Springs and the surrounding area in a free play style and it was that kind of activity that definetely taught him how to use and control the Wii remote which he picked up on very quickly. (Note that you only need to use the Wii remote alone and not with a Num-chuck attached, so set the game up for Wii remote only). I was impressed because he was only 3 1/2 years old at the time. Afterwards he was playing the various road races and winning the races alot of the times. Also, on the main menu there is an "Options" selection where you will find a place to enter the "cheat codes" which you will probably want to use to unlock everthing the game has to offer, especially if your child is young. You can print out the "cheat codes" for both "Cars & Cars 2" from the cheatcodes.com web site. I spent some time here telling you about the first "Cars" game mainly to recommend that if you dont already have it you can still buy it fairly cheap thru Amazon.com and if you are purchasing the "Cars 2" game for a younger child I highly recommend you start them out with the original "Cars" game first. As far as the "Cars 2 " game goes I highly recommend that if your child is young like my grandson, that an adult spend some time with the game set up first. I spent about thirty minutes with the game before I latter gave it to my grandson. You will be asked to perform some easy manuvers at the C.H.R.O.M.E. Spy Acadamy which I did for him untill I reached the first two levels. Then I entered the "cheat codes" from the "Options" selection on the main menu. Just go to the web site I mentioned earlier and print them out so you have them handy. "Cheat codes" are not automatically saved into the game memory and you have to re-enter them each time after you have shut down the Wii system . That's no big problem because it only taks less than a minute to enter them. Also, play this game with the Wii remote only, no Num-chuck required. Now, as far as the game play goes, I can't put into words how excited my grandson is each and every time he now gets to race with his favorite racers from the "Cars 2 " movie, which he also owns a watches repeatedly. He has done so well in the races he has played already that he has advanced to the next Spy level and continues to open up more and more racers to use. What impressed me about the grafics, the backround scenery and the special effects is how close to the actual movie this game is presented. And as far as variety there is several modes of play for single player or multi-player. A child can choose to ride around and hunt for the bad guys and blow them up with rockets, missles or machine guns but non of the charactewrs really dies or gets hurt while doing this, plus they are shooting back at his character too, so I explain to him that it is really just for fun and he seems to get the fact that it is just a game. Also he can choose to just race on a particular track or race with weapons that he can choose, these are called "Battle Races". There are "Attack" modes and "Survival" modes which have several varieties each. I can just go on and on about how much fun and mild violence entertainment this game is so I'll just conclude with that I highly recommend this game for any child who is a "Cars" fan.

A Mom's Review: My kids love this game!
I asked my sons, ages 6 and 9, what they thought about their Cars 2 Wii game for this review. They both gave it a 5 star rating. Actually, my youngest said he gave it 100 stars! They've spent hours playing this game, and they love earning new cars. (Tomber is a particular favorite and they were both so excited when they earned that car. My 6 year old insisted I put that in the review. :) It's a good game for either one or two players, and it's been just challenging enough to be enjoyable without being too difficult for them. Of all the Wii games we've purchased, this one if the only one both my kids have liked equally. The youngest loves it and the oldest doesn't think it's too young for him. We've had it for several weeks and they aren't tired of it yet. It was a great purchase.

Kids love it!
We purchased this for our son's 7th birthday. He already has the original Cars game but wanted this one as well to go with the new movie. He loves, loves, loves this game. There are way more characters in this game than the original and he loves the training section. Probably not so suitable for anyone over 9 but definitely a nice easy going game for the younger kiddos.

Graphics are lacking
Overall the game is ok. I thought the graphics could be better. The game play itself is a pretty straightforward racing strategic game. There are a lot of various characters to choose from, the audio and their sayings are lines from the movie. The steering and maneuvering is average but the special effects are a bit complex for my 5 year old to remember what button does what while focusing on steering and not running in to things. If you are looking for something similar to Mario Kart, keep looking. Its fun for Cars 2 fans but not as fun as the original Mario Kart.

Hit Movie -- Hit Game...Happy Nephew.
He's happy -- I'm happy! I sent this to my nephew (he was 7 at the time) and apparently it was a hit. Wii games are always a hit, and this one was no exception. I added the steering wheel accessory (reviewed as well) and he was driving off into the sunset. Thanks to Amazon, I'm a good uncle...

l'apprentissage semble long, surtout pour des enfants et le cheminement moins excitant que le film ou des courses ordinaires. A revoir à la maison pour confirmer
