This lamp is gorgeous. Sturdy. 3 way settings on brightness. Extremely elegant. I had seen this exact lamp on another site and started doing price checks. Amazon was less than half of the next lowest price!! I purchased this floor lamp for my formal living room that is all antiques, leather-bound books in cases, and deeply colored arm chairs by the fireplace. The lamp looks like a million bucks. It blends right in. Assembly took moments. You won't be disappointed if you like this style of lamp..I'll be adding another soon.

Quick edit here since I have bought four more of these since my first one, obviously I love it. I'll say again that it looks like it should cost at least four times as much as it does. Unfortunately, assembly/disassembly continues to be its only weak point.. It took 2-3 fairly capable guys an hour or two to get these very fussy threaded pipe sections screwed together just right on each lamp.. But once it's done, it's done, unless you have to take it apart again at some point. Also I have grown to like the retro 3-way mechanism more (get a 3-way LED bulb!) as I have gotten less enchanted with smart bulbs. Most people just want to walk up to the darn light and turn the switch.. Having to futz around with a phone or get Alexa to hear you right just isn't any value added for most people in most situations, and if their manually switching the light screws up the "smart" function, it's not so smart after all. (Of course MY lights are smart, changing color and brightness and white color tempterature etc, because I'm a nerd.)This torchiere is elegant and looks great. My perfect balance between fancy and plain. It's pretty obviously a reproduction, but handsomely designed and constructed, and wonderfully cheap. It looks pure black to me, with tiny subtle rings of gold around the pleasantly substantial base. It arrives as a series of tubes (like the internet!) with long and fragile threaded joints. You'll want some WD-40. Even with that helpful lubricant liberally applied, there's one joint I can't get all the way screwed together. Other than this ridiculous overthreading, assembly is easy: one base, five tubes, one top piece, one nicely frosted shade. The tubes are already strung together with the electrical cord. No tools required.Note that it's a 3-way lamp so works best with a 3-way bulb (not included). The 3-way LED bulbs seem expensive, and I'm sure the lamp would work with a 1-way bulb. The whole 3-way concept is antique and far inferior to a dimmer, preferably a smart dimmer, paired with a dimmable LED bulb (many are not dimmable and there's a slight price premium). For now, it's an affordable and attractive lamp, cheap at $35 or so. Classiest things in my living room for sure. Well, classiest lamps.

This floor lamp is a great buy for such a low price. It is elegant and gives off a lot of light. I was able to install it easily by laying the lamp on the floor. The hardest part was taking the lamp out of the box. It was well packaged with no breakage. The lamp is very sturdy. I plan on buying other colors of this lamp.

Ordered two of these for our living room. While assembly was a bit of a pain due to the threads in the tudes, they look good fully assembled. Very easy to crossthread when assembling the tubes, so just take it slow and don't force it. Had to use a wrench to tighten the threads in the base as they just spun when attaching the rest of the body. Could use something in the head to align the shade, like a molded rim or tabs. Kind of a pain to make sure it's aligned otherwise. Overall, not bad for the price.

Purchased two... Quality and lamp colorations are right on as pictured. Assembly was easy on one and a little tricky on the other with lineup, but eventually got it straight. Had no issues with tilting… very sturdy and project lots of light. No remote just dimmer switch. Recommended

Beautiful, sturdy, functional…. Does the job and looks great while doing so.

Lamp is a good height, not too short, so it looks nice sitting behind a reading chair. We got the oil-rubbed bronze finish with white glass shade. It is very lovely and lookes nicer than just a plain 'stick' style floor lamp. The white glass shade allows it to emit a nice bright light that will illuminate quite a good area. Good purchase.

Ordered two, first one issues assembled from bottom to top. Lamp looks crooked it is not plumb had to put shim under it to get it to stand straight. Second unit bottom portion of shaft would not thread all the way onto the base, you can see a portion of the bare metal threaded portion. Again, not plumb, had to shim to get unit to stand straight up. As for brightness, I installed 3-way bulbs so they are bright and I'm sure a good quality LED bulb will be bright too. The glass shade is nice, a fair amount of marbling, looks good. Very poor quality, easily cross threads, threads not very deep and you can actually pull the shaft off the threads with little effort or any turning, like pulling a cork from a bottle only easier! I cannot recommend and would urge to spend up and get a better-quality lamp as these are inferior in every way.

This lamp exceeded my expectations. It is beautiful, incredibly sturdy, has a glass lamp shade (and not cheap plastic), easy to assemble and is packaged so well. Truly impressed with the quality and aesthetic of this floor lamp and with the seller. Would certainly buy again. Thank you

Solid and beautiful lamp, easy assembly.I had to replace the plug with an european plug but i knew that during ordering.3-way LED bulbs for 230VAC are not available in Europe but a standard E27 LED bulb also works fine.

Why would you sell something with a continental plug to a UK customer?!

I really love this lamp, it requires a Trilight bulb, which is terrific if you want just a little bit of light! It is beautiful, and I love it.
