Using on a marine engine

Ended up taking two weeks to get it because it was delivered a couple blocks away, but it wasn’t the fault of the seller. Nice high pressure when hot.

Went on great no issues. Wish they would include the rod and just make it a package deal for 15 bucks more. As ypu can see the difference from stock,it is worth buying.

Replaced the oil pump on a motor approximately 22 years since rebuild. Oil pressure around 34 psi when cold start during the summer and was dropping below 10 psi when at operating temperature and idling. Installed the new pump and the cold start oil pressure was around 62 psi at cold start idle and at operating temperature idling oil pressure stays around 44 psi now. Saved me down time and cost in replacing the engine and maybe few more years use out of this one.

This pump went in a high rpm, performance Chevy 355 with a 7 quart oil pan. Works great for the application. Oil pressure is excellent. If you are using a standard volume/pressure oil pump, and your engine doesn't rev over 7,000 rpm's, I suggest sticking with a new Melling standard volume pump #M55. Even if you put a new cam in or heads or whatever. I've seen these High Volume pumps eat a distributor and/or cam gear within a week on lower revving high horsepower engines. They put a lot of extra load on that distributor gear. Leaves metal shavings all over the engine. Just something to think about. Happy engine building!

They have the recommended items most customers bought with the pump, you would think the manufacturer would include a .99 cent gasket but nope..... most auto parts stores will sell you their pump though which includes the 99 cent gasket. Go figure.

This was an easy installation on my 327 SBC engine. The price point VS other high volume oil pumps was very good. Have been running it for almost 2 months now and no problems
