Purple Reign 1000W Watt Digital Dimmable HPS MH Grow Light Ballast for Plant Growing

Pretty happy about my purchase. Eventho I just found one that will do everything this will, but will dim a 600w bulb to 250... I wish I had that option. Other than that, this is exactly as advertised,, and of course Low Baller is always excellent to buy from. Matter fact when i go to purchase something, I ALWAYS look to see if he is one of the sellers... Now if he would just get me a cheap used 6" xxxl magnum hood they may just become my new best friends.... Excellent ballast,, runs cool to the touch with my 600w. Very stylish. Digital readout... It gets my recommendation, and of course, compliment your purchase by going with a trusted seller like Low Baller.... AAA+

Super fast shipping! Bought 2 and they arrived early.Only tested 1 so far but it fired right up. I cant give them a 5 of 5 until they last a while but so far, perfect. When tested against an analog ballast running at 1000 watts with the same bulb,I was able to achieve more lumen output with this digital ballast set at 600 watts than the analog ballast running at 1000. So WAY more efficient vs an analog ballast. Now I get a ton more lumens for less cost. Im in love.So long as it lasts. UPDATE!!!! Been rocking these ballasts hard. Think Ive had them a few years now and zero problems. Own 3. Absolutely zero problems. 5 out of 5.UPDATE+++ Both still working wonderfully. Its been about 6 months of running both daily. Not 1 complaint. Had to update to 5 of 5 stars.

UPDATE: You can read my review below when I only had THREE of these not work right off the bat, and understandably that's totally normal for a high end product at full price to have three bad right out of the box. But now I have to update my review because a fourth one just went bad, a fourth one out of SIX and it killed two perfectly good light bulbs while I was trying to problem solve and figure out why my light wasn't working.Who designed these things? For real, I want like a first and last name and an address. I can't even believe these are still for sale they suck SO BAD. Do not buy this crap. I've got iPower ballasts I've gotten for 60 dollars and have running all day long every day for six years and never had a problem... I've had these for two years with the incredible track record of two working out of four and two dead light bulbs that should otherwise be in great condition. And like two or three that don't work right out of the package? That's completely unacceptable. Do not buy this unless you want to throw away money and have it ruin all of your stuff. IF you are looking to have all of your stuff ruined and get products that don't work before ever even using it though you can't go wrong picking up quite a few of these. There's a 75% chance you'll get one that doesn't work or one that will destroy other expensive equipment simply by existing. Really good product Apollo, I swear you guys owe me some money. Worst ballasts ever. On a side note though, I'm not faulting the seller Low_Baller at ALL. They've been great and was more than happy to repeatedly replace this horrible product without question every time I had an issue.***OLD REVIEW: I'm about to send back my third Purple Reign ballast within a year of purchase. Aside from the fact these seem to burn up internally and stop working randomly, when they DO work they're pretty good.But still, three in a year is a bit of a stretch. I've had cheaper ballasts that have lasted years and years without ever having a problem so there's not really a good excuse for these to be so finicky.

Like this thing a lot. Weighs dramatically less than old school magnetic ballasts and is so much more efficient.Not a gimmick lights last longer due to running more efficient, this ballast is one of the most efficient I have owned.Does the job just as well as the much more expensive and other branded ballasts but at a much cheaper price.One of the least noisy I have owned and I have owned 6 different brands.It is essentially an all in one, both metal halide and high pressure sodium also with the dimming option you can run nearly any bulb with this unit.The one draw back is that it is fairly large takes up a decent amount of space but absolutely no issues with performance.I would recommend buying this ballast over many others due to price but mainly because of performance.

All fine and good product however, the plug to be fitted to the light socket is different to my HPS light power fitting. Extremely frustrating to find the correct power HPS light fitting.

Seems like a good quality ballast.Comes with an extra long power cord.Silent (no fan no buzz) and doesn't get as hot as my others.12 choices in wattage is very useful.If it had an internal timer function i would give it 11 stars.My 600w Apollo Horticulture ballast has been running 24/7 for 4 years so i have high expectations of this one.TBC...
