As a Chocoholic, I seek the strongest, best tasting cocoa I can find. For the "cheaper" price, Hershey's Dark Cocoa used to be good, but they RUINED it by alkalizing it! I searched and tried two or three cocoa / cacao products until I "found" this Caribbean Cacao Raw Cacao Powder - Unsweetened here at Amazon. I believe it might be available elsewhere but Amazon was certainly the "best" price. I put two heaping teaspoonfuls and two sugar shells of pure golden color, cane sugar in some warmed water so the cacao will mix completely before adding two cups of milk. That is my breakfast and anytime "snack". I'm "old", always been a big milk drinker but since I now have milk goats, can hardly stand processed cow milk! When I am not milking any of my does, to make the cow milk taste more like sweet, rich goat milk, I use about 1/3 cup of condensed milk in the big 2 cup glass with cow milk. Makes the Cacao taste better too.

Cacao is a super food, good for your blood pressure, blood glucose levels, and as an anti-inflammatory. 1 1/2 tablespoons of this powder in a pint of hot water, stir in sweetener and a little cream for a rich flavorful nutritious beverage. Dominican cacao is some of the best in the world. I will buy again.

Great value for the money. I add it to most of my smoothies and they taste like chocolate milkshakes. So delicious! This can also be used to make great brownies.

We have ordered this cacao powder almost monthly. It is incredible. My husband is a lawyer and often needs to work long hours. When he can make shakes out of this raw cacao he doesn't need things like coffee. We have also noticed his allergies and health in general has improved immensely. There are tons of health benefits for raw cacao. If you Google "chocolate strategy raw cacao" you can find a website that teaches all about it. We learned about raw cacao from the author and it has been a great blessing to our family. I like to get raw cacao powder as it is really good for your health. This particular cacao has nice flavor and easy to dissolve in hot water or milk. Yes, you need to mix it again and again in order not to miss some cacao which is left unmixed. I like this cacao in smoothies and hot cacao too. I would prefer if they will get organic label. This is the only problem.

Flavor is deep and powerful. It's obvious that this little plantation in the Dominican Republic knows their fruit and how to treat it. The energy of this cacao is pristine. I love Peruvian Cacao but the powered stuff on Amazon is second rate. So I just keep buying Caribbean Cacao.
