Nothing against this fid it was well made and should work fine for larger of for cord lacing and weaving
This fid did not meet my expectations. I was in the process of tying various diameters of fid to work with 550 paracord. This one is too large in diameter for line splicing but not the fault of the fid itself. I just don't think there is a fid small enough in outside diameter but still large enough in inside diameter that will allow the paracord to be threaded into the hollow end. I have tried another fid since I bought this one that is a smaller diameter yet and stainless steel which is slipperier than this one but still too large in diameter to line splice. So I am still at the drawing board trying to find a solution. Nothing against this fid it was well made and should work fine for larger of for cord lacing and weaving, just not line splicing.

Great product!
I have had this for sometime now and it works awesome my paracord threads onto it with ease.I see some of the reviews say that the paracord falls out but I personally have not ran into this issue just cut the paracord to the length you need add some fire to the end roll into a semi large point and thread onto the needle.I like to use this to make monkey fists out of paracord and this really helps to interlace the paracord. The aluminum this is made from seems to be very durable I am rather though on stuff and I have had no issue with the metal bending or denting at all. This is a must have for a paracord hobbyist.

3" w/ 1" Extension Gorilla Paracord® Aluminum Paracord Stitching Fid Lacing Needle
I used this type of needle in my leather craft days. it worked great with latigo and other lacing so I knew it would work with paracord. I got the 1" extension. I knew it would come in handy...it did. I had to do some fancy finishing by lacing the ends through some tight wraps and the needle slid the material through the loops easily and without stretching or otherwise disturbing the knots. It is made of anodized aluminum and is extremely smooth.I recommend this tool. On some applications forceps or smooth jawed needle-nose pliers work great, but when you need a fid or a needle, this is what you need.

Good product shipment and arrived in timely manner
Good product shipment and arrived in timely manner. New condition. 3 inch is quite small - I guess I need to find a tool that is a little longer - like 6 inches. I tried using with paracord wrapping and does work well, just a little small for my hands to work with. Maybe a person with smaller hands can use this better than I do.

Nice, pretty easy to use, about the size of a cigarette.
Recently decided to quit smoking and decided paracord work would be good to take up in its place. This works pretty well for those bits where you can't push the cord through. Sometimes it's a bit tricky to thread the cord onto, but otherwise it's been good. Also it doesn't seem to like working with a sail palm, and might lose shape at the back end.

It works just like we were told it would
I cant tell you how hard it was to find this needle for my husband. I searched store after store and had no luck. I finally looked for it on amazon and here it is. It works just like we were told it would. It makes sewing the paracord bracelet's so much easier for my hubby . Great product

Useful tool
was a little difficult to use. I ended up putting a little hot glue on the end of the paracord to stiffen it up before twisting it into the end of the fid. Worked well after that. Liked the adjustable length of the fid. Still like my forceps better on some tighter aspects of my projects though.

Works!!
Does exactly what I expected it to do and performed like it should. Made it much easier to thread the cord through tighter knots that either cannot loosen or knots you don’t wish to loosen. I would recommend this to anyone that makes paracord bracelets or lanyards. The only issue I have is, you have to make sure you burn the tip of the cord and roll it small enough to thread into the needle, sometimes this takes several attempts.
