Wow. Amazing desk. Do NOT let the two-piece surface deter you.
I bought this for $250 in May of 2023, about a year ago, and it's probably the single best purchase I've ever made on Amazon. As of April 2024, this desk is now only $200. Foremost - do NOT let the fact that the surface comes in two pieces deter you from purchasing this. This desk is extremely stable and study. The desk surface is completely scratch resistant, don't worry about writing too hard on it and leaving indentions. Yes, the reason they can make this desk so cheap is because they can ship it in a much smaller box by splitting the surface in two. However, the seam is far back enough so that you'd never even remember that it's there. From front to seam, it is 18.75 In. Unless perhaps you're using it for large paper-based art. If so, then yes, the seam would be susceptible to leaving holes in paper were a pencil to forcefully run across it. I've never once had that problem, but there is indeed an indention. If you plan to use a computer on this desk as I do for work, then the value and quality of this product is unlike anything else on this website. Competitors of lesser quality are often nearly twice the price. The stability is honestly hard to believe. Better and much cheaper than IKEA for sure (I love IKEA, hard for me to say that), and I believe the standing desk at my company's office is name-brand veridesk - it's as stable as that if not moreso, even on carpet, at the highest level of elevation. I am 5'10" and the highest it can go is still too high for me. I have had it for a year, and have raised&lowered it automatically 5-6 days a week with no issues since I first bought it. I do cardio in the mornings before work, and usually stand until lunch and sit from 1pm-5pm. No problems whatsoever. Assembly was easy, though be careful about over-tightening some of the screws before the others. I feel like doing so improperly would make the entire thin desktop bow inwards. Loosely place all the screws, them carefully tighten afterwards proportionally. Great sized workspace, the cherry red is very stylish, great value even when I bought it for 30% more than it is now. Whoever engineered this deserves a raise, and whoever is selling it needs a high five.

Perfect for Table Top Longarm Quilting Frames....
I ordered this product in order to set-up a table top longarm quilting frame. It arrived on saturday and took about 30mins to put together. It is very sturdy and stable. I really like the ability to pre-set different heights for one touch height adjustment. I compared this table to several other of similar type and it was by far the most economical. It came in about 50% lower than its nearest competitor of similar design and features. It fits perfectly in the space that I have (see photo) and works well with my longarm quilting frame. In the end it was the best choice for my needs and I would happily purchase it again. I highly recommend this product.

Easy to use & great quality/appearance
This desk was very easy to assemble - I would recommend having two people for assembly though. Overall, feels very stable and is very easy to adjust. I love the way it looks and how much workspace it provides. Would recommend to anyone looking to vamp up their home office

come on amazon let me write a long title. color wrong desk good details inside
Original title cause amazon's a 🐩: the color of the top panel doesn't match the name or photo but your mileage will vary and it's still worth a buy so I needed a new desk. my old one was on the verge of decomposing and I didn't want to haul it all the way up a flight of stairs to my new residence. so after about an hour of intense migraines from scrolling through amazon I settled on this one. I can't remember how quickly it got delivered and it might have been delayed by like a day or two but it was well within the unsaid law of reasonable delivery time limits. I got it in maple cause my floors were hardwood, and deep in the moldy recesses of my brain I recalled someone saying they were maple, so I was like sweet, the photo appears to match my floors, so maybe I'll finally have something in my room that's coordinated with The Colors. it ships here and it is not the same maple. maybe my floors are misnamed, or maybe the trees they were hewn from spent their lives in the shade or something. but what's in the box looks more like what would happen if an ash blonde chick washed her hair with brass removing shampoo. I'd show a photo but I don't have any and I'm not going back to that residence for like a week. Maybe if you live in the world of overly saturated, sharpened and dodged landscape photos that are bizarrely popular in Facebook groups, it could look like maple. but it doesn't match my flooring. The faux woodgrain finish actually looks pretty nice, though, for particle board. Desk assembly went well. I am a complete numb🌰 when it comes to assembling things (there's a reason I named my homebuilt computer the Jank Queen. the sources of most noises that thing makes still elude me), and I deliberately take my time building things because my working memory is more like a roulette wheel and I don't want to waste energy shaving off a meager 15 seconds. I think I built it in like a half hour, 45 minutes? While not sporting Instagram-reel-worthy machining in any of the screw holes, it's a (I forgot how much it cost already)desk from china. Don't look at the teeth of a horse you got as a gift. Anyway, the screws actually fit well through the holes, unlike some other metal things from China I've bought recently, and everything is done with an Allen key, so I didn't need any extra tools. Now for the desk: I have two giant-🐴 monitors because I like to dedicate 75% of my screen space to pictures of thomas the tank engine characters, and because I will kick and scream and hiss before I give up my last remaining dell ultrasharp u3014. 16:10 is the best aspect ratio. don't fight me. I'll win. Anyway the two monitors I have measure 32(30??)" and 27???" inches diagonally and they are pretty heavy for flatscreen panels. ok maybe not the 27" but my gigantamax dell monitor makes up for it. When I adjust the height of the desk they don't budge. Not even a little jiggle from the ultrasharp. the motor that raises and lowers the desk does so incredibly gradually, starting slower at first and speeding up, but even at ludicrous speed it's still not very fast. if you're wealthy or vain or something else you probably have a set of two-pound tiny apple monitors that could give me a papercut with that horrendous lack of bezel. or maybe monitors have just gotten that thin as of recent times. I don't know. I hate trends. But if you have those I don't even know why you're worrying about the sturdiness of the desk. I tried wobbling it with a considerable amount of force and the thing shook like a little, but more in the way that train cars aren't bolted together in one big long line, but rather have a flexible divider. Like it's designed to have room to breathe. anyway I'm rambling. It's sturdy. It will hold anything you would need to put on a desk. The speed presets on the motor confused me for a bit because I threw away the manual after I built it, but I figured it out. It comes with 4 presets already, but you can change them. Click twice to active the preset height. I forgot already how to set the preset. It's in the manual. I think. The cable management basket on the bottom also confuses me, mostly because I am horrendously bad at it, but if your cables were long enough you could probably hide them better than I could. Note that wires are still very visible going from the motor to the wall and from your monitors to your computer, unless you don't have a million things plugged in like I do. That's ok. It's life. Happiness doesn't revolve around having a flawless polished room covered from ceiling to floor in retina scorching LEDs like all the reddit posts glorify. The drawer at the bottom is pretty useless. I use it to keep all the extra hardware I got from furnishing my new domicile. 8/10 not enough maple

I am VERY impressed by this desk considering the price. It's noticeably less expensive than IKEA desks, while being of similar or slightly inferior quality. Actually, the height controller is better than IKEA's. The packaging and assembly instructions are well thought out. The desk is sturdy enough for any normal use. The height control has memory settings. This seems like a small feature, but it's quite nice to have up to 4 easily repeatable height patterns at the press of a button. The only downside I can think of is that it comes in "two panels" for the working section. The panels are butt-jointed using 8 dowels and are held together by the side brackets. This means that the center is less supported vs "torqueing" efforts. This means that a clamped monitor arm might not be ideal. Having said that, any type of standard usage on the surface (normal monitor and whatnot) is perfectly fine. It's very easy to compare with IKEA since the latter is very popular for standing desks. The SHW's desk is close to half the price, but not for "half the product". For most uses, the SHW will be a great choice for a very reasonable price.

Perfect for my needs. Holds two large monitors and a laptop with plenty of room for keyboard, mouse etc and space to spare for documents, accessories, & writing. Love being able to auto set heights. Easy to assemble and very sturdy. Motor is quiet. Do not know durability as only had for a few weeks.
