We purhased this as my son's Santa gift and it was a big hit! I couldn't find any instructions on assembly for the base, but looking at the box and the limited amount of hardware included (four screws and nuts) it was easy to figure out what to do- just grab a screwdriver. It's shorter than I pictured in my mind- a bit shorter than gumball machines you see in public areas (or at least I perceive this one to be shorter). The pieces feel heavy and sturdy, although when we put it together, it lost some of its heft and while I wouldn't say it was easy to knock over, it's also not as sturdy as the public gumball machines I've seen. The base was a quick and easy assembly, and my hubby did the red base/candy globe part- you can have it accept change or do like we did and find a video on how to take it apart and make it free (there were directions about putting the red base/globe together but they weren't very well written and the pictures were useless) it took a bit of work, but it was worth it to us to not have to empty coins or supply coins to make it work. We also had to adjust a gizmo in the red base because when we first assembled the product and added the gumballs, they wouldn't stop coming! Again, online videos saved the day! We've only used small gumballs with this and it holds a bunch of them! We had about a fifth of a big bag of gumballs that we poured in and it barely peeked over the glass at the bottom!Overall, I'm very pleased with this product and I would recommend it to friends and family, however, if you're getting this item to put in a public place or where children will be frequently using it, I'd recommend finding a way to secure it to a wall or somehow make it tip-proof.

I am so thrilled I chose this gum ball machine for my husband's Birthday 🥳gift he loves it! I am so happy with my purchase. It is super sturdy and really nice 😊 it is for his candy 🍬 collection in his garage. I did not get the glass bowl because I was too worried if a child uses it and is rough there goes that!Thank You

A good quality gumball machine for home use. This gumball machine is a hit with our family! My teens save their coins for a treat (I might be earning back a little of their allowance??). It's also a fun amusement for visitors young and old - colorful, surprising and a quick treat when you need one. Love the glass globe, the sturdy metal construction of the other parts, and the ease of refilling. It was simple to assemble. One leg was a little tricky to install, as it seemed the fittings were slightly "off" but we eventually forced it together. It rocks ever so slightly on a level surface, but nothing a small furniture pad couldn't fix. The factory setting allows a generous number of gumballs to drop with a single coin, but you can adjust that when assembling or refilling. Only thing I'd change: I wish I could set it to take quarters only. But overall, very happy with the purchase and thought the price was good.

The overall beauty of this gumball machine is outstanding. It was very easy to assemble and the instructions were easy to follow. I decided to remove the mechanism so that the machine would dispense free gumballs. Was very easy and I kept the little pieces and put them in a small baggy and taped them with instructions to the base of the stand for future use. I found someone else’s review helpful when ordering gumballs and thought I would state here that you should use small gumballs for this machine not 1” gumballs as those may not dispense properly. I noticed that using small gumballs, the machine dispenses 2 at a time. That’s fine. Works perfect, price is great and packaged with care. Overall 5 Stars!! ✨

There's a lot more plastic and thin metal compared to the old-school models from the past but it looks good and works well.Out of the box the machine is set up to work with quarters. The unit can be changed to work freely (no $ needed). This requires about 10 minutes of disassembly work.The metal post is sturdy. However, it's made from cheap metal and the threads are not milled very well. This can cause the threads to strip. I advise that you generously apply some oil or light grease (even WD40) to the threads before assembly. If not, it will be difficult to screw the components together and you could permanently strip things out so they won't ever attach properly.Other than the risk of mis-threading, the assembly is straight forward and easy.I'm happy with this product and feel like it's a good value.

CAN fit 1” gum balls!!!I got 2 machines and YES! They can fit one inch gum balls!!! You have to take it apart to remove the metal round disk that has 3 openings on it (through the piece away, sorry no picture) LITERLY takes like 2 minutes and you need no tools!!!So happy I took a leap in trying this!Wonderful quality and a great value!!! My kids love having friends over and being able to have their friends get a gum ball. So fun!

Awesome! My kids love it. Easy to assemble glass globe is thicker compared to the carousel brand I originally ordered and then returned. I will be ordering the plastic globe soon just so it’s safer for my kids. The plastic globe option and price was the reason I chose this brand!

Sits in a place of honor in my home. Takes me back to the 1950's every time I glance at it. Great addition, and a well-made product.
