Lightsphere Generation 5 Fashion & Commercial Lighting Kit

I do photography as hobby.i tried a gary fong clone (cheap white plastic that looks like the version 1) and i like the effect.that is why i bought the original because i know it is better and to give credit to the inventor.This one is better because it is collapsable.you can stuff it in a bag.for quick indoor shooting,use the transparent one.it does give an even light and minimal shadow.i have not yet tried the snoot.I am trying to learn to use the gels.i keep on getting a full amber or blue color.maybe because my flash is too strong.The product holds well in my flash,i am using an SB600.but do not do the one in you tube where in he held the flash by the lightsphere.do it for big flash.The product has a funny smell at first but i think it will go away as time goes by.The white and amber dome is easy to use.the grey dome is for post prod,not yet ino that.I will study the snoot next.then the gels.If you are in a tight budget,go for the wedding package.But if you want more creativity in the future,buy this one

What a great kit! I just recently discovered Gary Fong and his products and I'm already a huge fan. The lightsphere and the power snoot are truly must-haves for anyone shooting with an external flash - especially if you mount your flash off-camera on a light stand. You can really improve your flash photography with this kit and get some great, creative results.The lightsphere and snoot are made from a flexible, soft material so they won't scratch or damage your gear. The whole kit is lightweight and features a side release strap so you can attach it to your camera bag. To get the most out of this kit, I'd also recommend getting the Manfrotto 5001B nano stand as well as the Joby BH1 ball head. With these to extra pieces of equipment, you will have a very lightweight, wireless lighting system that you can easily move and adjust quickly.

Straight out of the box I didn't understand it at all and neither did several other photographers. If you do this wrong it doesn't work at all but I think I might have finally figured it out after hours of frustration (with help!)

I am not one to leave reviews so I will be very honest here, I didn't want to spend the money on this and I didn't want to appear with a super fancy " Gary Fong " flash diffuser on my set up. That being said I finally broke down after watching his video presentations and I can say I just tested this thing for an hour and it is AMAZING! By far the best money I have spent on equipment in a long time. Worth every penny, if you don't need the kit which I honestly probably did not.....I highly recommend at a minimum the dome..... AAA+ Mr. Fong you just picked up another fan.

Wow! This is the best diffuser that I have ever used... and I have used more than a few over the past 40 years. Good color (maybe just a touch blue but very good), good coverage, very even, easy to use. Given its omnidirectional output, a more powerful flash is helpful. It works like a champ on my Canon 600EX-RT gear. I have just started playing with the snoot but it seems to work well. I wish that it was cheaper but it is the best that I have used. Perfect for events. I am retiring my little Stofens and Demb diffusers

Really solid gear... It's does what it needs to well. The snoot leaves more to be desired. I get gridlines in the shots quite a bit but that could be from my technique. Only thing stopping it from being 5 is the pricing. It's a little on the pricey side so I don't think it's the best value but over all these are solid products that do what they need to do and we'll.

Just what I wanted in a light diffuser. There are cheaper ones out there, but this one tops them. It’s easier to use, and you won’t have to deal with returns.

It's good but it is a lot of money for what it is. Build quality is good but not great. It probably only cost 10 quid to make so can't justify the large price. I'll keep it as I use it professionally but if I was just starting out I can't recommend it due to it's price.

I was a bit unsure of how good it would be before I tried it, but it's absolutely fantastic, I can't recommend it highly enough, especially in situations when you have to shoot straight at the subject.

Great value for the money Would recommend to us up and coming photographers, give yourself time to learn .

Very dissapointed that the DVD has been replaced by a scrap of paper that reads:Gary offers a complete library of educational vidoes for your new product online.
