This two-disc DVD set features thirteen brand-new stories, including the coronation of Ponyvilles very own Princess Twilight Sparkle! Includes All 13 Episodes of My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magics third season! Review: Fantastic show. Enjoyable for all ages - The My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic series is magical. Truly one of the all time best animated series ever. Every aspect of the production is superb. The art is cute, stylish and easy on the eyes. The writing is excellent. No dumbed down storylines, or cheesy cliche "girls cartoon" plots. Only really good writing, that is easy to watch, no matter how old you are. And with good lessons to be learned in all episodes. The voice acting is on another level. With actresses voicing multiple roles, including some of the mane cast. And they come across with such individual personality, that you can not help, but to really relate to each character. There is a lot of singing in this series. And it is all awesome. I have never been much into series with a lot of singing in them, but this series has me looking forward to the next number. The music is top notch, and catchy to boot. Where I usually cringe at musical numbers, now I find myself humming, if not full out singing these songs myself, when the feeling hits. Yes, even in public! This series is a masterpiece that will be treasured forever. It created such a wide and diverse following for a reason. I am so glad that I decided to watch it, and give it a chance. I had thought it was funny, that so many grown ups and younger adults were such huge fans of what was known as a girl's cartoon. Now I can see what they had already found out. This show is not limited by it's original demographic. It got even better as the show went on, and it included more stuff for the wider audience. Such as the multitude of nods to other popular cultural icons, and famous series of the past. Some are obvious, some you have to look closely for. Heck, I am rewatching this series now, and yesterday I saw an obvious Dr. Who reference that I had completely missed before. Even with the next generation of My Little Pony coming out, this series will not be tossed aside or forgotten. I could see this series take on new life, as other popular series have. Such as the cult following of Star Trek. There is so much fan based art, and interest that it has taken on a life of its own. And it shows no sign of slowing down. So, take a look, and see for yourself. You will be glad you did! Review: Reminds me of the Original Pokemon Series, and that was a gem of a cartoon. :D Gotta Watch all these Ponies! - The Greatest Brand Revival EVER! It's been quite a while since I've seen a cartoon that I actually became emotionally invested in and by a long time I mean like 10 years. XD For those of you who grew up with Saturday morning cartoons you know what I'm talking about: Pokemon, Yugioh, Medabots, Ed Edd and Eddy, etc 90s cartoons, which in my opinion have become almost non-existent nowadays in terms of quality of dialogue, background music, character personality and such. Heck, don't get me wrong I've tried to get into some of the new cartoons nowadays like Adventure Time and Regular Show and others but they all lack character depth and audience attachment, the what I call the "relate-ability factor". Sure they are cool characters, but I don't really find myself caring for them as much the jokes are super random for my taste, some plain stupid, and others I'm like, what? In short the humor is based off forced sarcasm or plain meanness. I just watch and get a laugh that's it. Then there are those once in a blue moon cartoons like Friendship is Magic that truly make you wonder what happened to cartoons as of late. This is how a cartoon should be done. The best way I could describe Friendship is Magic is like a perfect blend of anime, 90s cartoons, with a hint of disney. For me characterization depth is a worth it's weight in gold and quite frankly the ponies have got it in fact the whole cast has it, try to wrap your head around that. As a college dude, that's now a senior this cartoon made feel like that 10 year old boy who watched Pokemon for the first time in awe. It amazes me how the characterizations of the mane 6 are so lifelike it's almost as though they were real girls. What amazed me further is that at some points I see a little bit of myself in all 6 of them, Twilight being the frame of my personality. All in all, when I found out there were a whole group of global fans called Bronies who are dedicated to this show, I wasn't surprised to see that they were all about my age. I guess they must have felt the same childhood rekindling I experienced. :D MLP:FIM is cartooning at it's finest, and I hope it keeps it up.

Wonderful series
MLP Friendship Is Magic is great for the whole family. I saw both DVDs as soon as I got it in the mail. The third season has Twilight Sparkle and her pony pals continuing to explore the magic of friendship in 13 episodes. Highlights include the 2 part premier has Twilight and her friends travel to the Crystal Empire after a 1000 year absence. In Keep Calm And Flutter On, Princess Celestia assigns Fluttershy to reform Discord (Voiced by John DeLancie) from his evil ways to good. Chaos ensures in a hilarious way. Spike At Your Service has Applejack saving the little dragon from a Timberwolf. Spike decides to repay the debt by serving her forever as a personal servant due to his dragon code. The season finale Magical Mystery Cure has lots of musical numbers thanks to composer Daniel Ingram has some incredible songs. Twilight has to find a way to reverse their friends cutie marks and in the process of saving her friends she evolves into an Alicorn making her the newest princess in Equestria. Extras include 2 sing along songs (A True True Friend & Ballad Of The Crystal Empire) Highlights of the cast & staff panel from the show at the 2013 San Diego Comic Con. Plus a printable map of Equestria. PC & Printer Required. For laughs, excellent music, great voice acting, I highly suggest the show.

Dachte das man die DVD auch auf deutsch gucken kann.... Die Serie an sich wie immer tolle Bildqualität, süße Ponys aber halt alles auf englisch...

Sinceramente lo compré por 2 episodios: Babs Seed y Keep the Calm and Flutter On.

I know most people dislike this season because of the "fan pandering", the "lame villain", Trixie and Discord's redemption, and of course, Twilight becoming an alicorn. But I thought the season was good. The fan pandering shows Hasbro knows we're there and wants to keep us happy (they just went about it the wrong way). King Sombra is anything but lame (he's even more dark and menacing than Chrysalis and he unambiguously and spectacularly dies in the end), people only say he is because he has less screentime and dialog but when he does appear the scenes are as epic as A Canterlot Wedding. I'll admit Magical Mystery Cure has a different atmosphere than other MLP episodes that almost makes you miss the old style (atleast as far as villain-less episodes go), but it's still an awesome musical and now that Season 4 is running the others have found they hardly notice any difference with Twilight, aside from her flying a few times. My favorite episodes of this season would be The Crystal Empire Part 2, Magical Mystery Cure, Keep Calm and Flutter On, Magic Duel, Sleepless in Ponyville (because of Luna), and Wonderbolts Academy. Most of the other episodes were all right.
