I cannot find any difference than 3m, Diablo or Craftsman quality.
I have read the ratings on this product, and this is a 4"x24" sanding belt, and seriously after reading the 1, 2, and 3 star comments, it leaves me scratching my head. When working on body work on heavy equipment and other big machinery and also doing hard work especially when using 36 grit, which requires the motor to work very hard, I cannot usually get 3M or Craftsman or Diablo to stay together without separating for 30 minutes to an hour of continuous use, and so far these sanding belts have delivered the same exact performance.I’m using model 362V porter Cable sanders, with the 12 amp motors, and the trick to not separating the belts is not to put pressure on the sander, if anything lift it a little bit, when the motor can rev up, you are still cutting the same amount of material, but putting less friction on the shoe between the rollers that drive the belt. This reduction in heat will greatly save the belt life especially with 36 grit paperAnother tip not to do is park the belt on the hot shoe between the 2 rollers when stopping the belt when you are done, as the shoe can get rather hot and the metal sometimes turns blueish due to the heat it is under, and if you park the glue seam on the steel shoe, expect it to separate, no matter what brand you buy. These are the shoes I am talking about, and in normal use these shoes can reach temperatures in excess of 540 degrees F:https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00ENNYT1Q/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1Another way of doing this is immediately after using the sander, undo the belt tensioner and remove the belt when not in use.Hope you find this useful, yeah, this is my wifes Prime account………………………. Bhttps://www.amazon.com/gp/profile/amzn1.account.AFGN27EC6AXIQTNLY54XSFBALT5A/ref=cm_cr_arp_d_gw_btm?ie=UTF8As of 19 July 2020 I have not yet had one single belt separate or seen it perform any different than any other brand, as a matter of observing its longevity it seems to be out living any other name brand I have found or used, all other brands I have mentioned prior have all failed within 2 hours, and this has been used for approx 8 hours continuously without failure. The belt thickness is thinner than any of the other belts I mentioned by a small margin, the belt width although it advertises @ 4" x 24" actually measures 3-7/8" x 23 - 13/16".It does fall a little short on the dimensions width wise by 1/8" and length wise by 3/16" but I found no issues with it at all, and it still covers the drive wheel rubber gripping 100%, this is probably due to a metric sandpaper supplier to the company who bonds it into the belt.No issues were discovered for the slight variance in dimensions. for any operation or installation of belt using a porter cable Model # 362V variable speed belt sander.Grit adhesion to the belt is 100% and Highly recommendable. The belting material is a belting fabric and is 1/3 thicker than name brands, and is flexible and durable. After having to replace parts on the Model # 362V variable speed belt sander, which I own 2 of soI had to switch while orders of parts were coming for the other one, and the only parts that failed on the Model # 362V variable speed belt sander was the shoes, using these belts for almost 1 month, and well over 40 hours of non continuous sanding, I managed to destroy only 3 belts out of the 18 pack, and all 3 belts I tore were still usable, but torn due to hitting a nail pointed against the belt travel and were sticking up 1/8" or more.Overall rating is no less than 5 stars, I'll buy these again in a heartbeat. ......................... Does the job
I'm using these belts to grind down welds that I can't get to with my angle grinder. They do the job but do not last very long. They tend do unravel threads and git disappear pretty quickly. But they do get the job done.

Best sanding belts
I have no first hand experience with these sanding belts other than listening to my husband sanding the stairs for 4 hours today. This was the first time he used this particular brand and he actually made it a point to tell me these were the best sanding belts he's ever used. He said they last much longer that the other brands he's used. I bought him the 40 and 80 grit packages. Today he used the 40 grit. Normally I have to ask him about the stuff I get him and he usually says it's ok. These I didn't have to ask about he just volunteered the info.
