Does Not Work
We bought two owls. One worked for about a day. The other has never worked. We are keeping them and using them just won't have the eyes light up and the noise. Better to buy a model where you do not have to pay the increased cost for the animation. Both are installed where they get bright sunlight for part of the day.

I was actually surprised how active the owl is. It does let out a muted screech quite often and the eyes do flash. The solar panel is well placed on top of the head. It does take some effort to set up a post fat enough to accommodate a platform since you have to screw the owl onto it. But it's worth the effort. The owl stays very secure. I find it much more effective than a plain decoy.

Good service, perfect
This thing is great. First I snuck it in my kids room to make sure it was scary. It was hilarious. It finally made it's way outside to my fruit tree. I havent seen one of those fruit ruining jerk birds since my bestie Owl showed up. His head wobbles in the wind and his eyes are piercing. So creepy!

You saved our fall garden. No birds, squirrels, or rabbits. We move him around every day so the pest won't get used to seeing him in one place. Well made and very realistic.

Good product
We had a terrible woodpecker problem resulting in large holes around the sides and eves of the house. As soon as we hung the owl, the woodpeckers stopped destroying the wood on the house
