Take note of other critical reviews
I trusted the majority of reviews left here, and didnt pay attention to the few other criticisms that were left. I've found the other criticisms were extremely accurate. Dont make my mistake. The knife case does not hold the primary object in place (the knife). The locks to the case can be removed from the case entirely with a flip of a finger in a single moment. Mine arrived with cracks on the inside of the case, presumably because the knife was not held in place. The shipping box was fine, nothing out of the ordinary. Nonetheless I tested it, twice, and measured temperature a third time.Knife itself is flimsy, when held for the first time, I had little confidence that the tool would handle more than a few uses. The temp dial is effectively useless because it does not keep a constant temperature regardless of setting (used an infrared thermometer to confirm) - this resulted in bad cutting, effectively ruining $50 worth of insulated foam (this is what prompted me to measure temp). The trigger to heat the knife has a lag, so when you release, it continues to get hot for a small time. The directions are pretty poor, with spelling mistakes throughout. "Two" is now "tow"... you get the idea. The documentation says to keep it at a consistent temperature and a constant motion to cut. Well, I did the constant motion, the consistent temp isnt something this knife is capable of producing, so you're left on your own to figure that part out. PERHAPS the temp control mechanism was damaged from the lack of security in the case, but will never know, because the overall quality of this product is so bad that it's not worth the money to even try.I know that it's hard to find a good tool for this sort of job, but I can tell you that this one isnt it.OH JUST NOTICED: the case pictured is not the one you get. You get a cheap, plastic, flimsy, POS.

It's aight
Build quality seems sturdy, the carrying case is nice, it does what it says it'll do, cut foam. My only gripe is It didn't come with the 300mm flexible blade, super bummed about that.
