Great seat does not mar up threads

It worked very well in getting all but one out. I used the 5/16 and it twisted the end of the stud and the tip of the stud broke off. When this happened it made the nut extremely hard to get off. I had to use another long twelve point impact socket to get the nut off. Now because the stud on the end was twisted and the threads chewed up the tool would no longer work. I had another short extractor socket that I used to get the stud out. Upon inspection of the socket the teeth inside the socket are now damaged and twisted I doubt if the socket is any good being twisted like that hence the four star rating. I tried to buy a replacement socket but they are currently unavailable separately. The tool works very well as long as you have the clearance to be able to get where you have to. I don't think I abused the tool in view it removed three other studs. I was a little disappointed in not being able to buy just the one socket to replace the damaged one to keep my set in tack.

Great product, and I would give this more stars if possible. We have had a broken screw we have been unable to remove with multiple, multiple tools and this finally did it! The first one did break, but after I emailed the company they were understanding and we had a new set two days later. The situation caused the break...I would still buy again and think it’s a great product!

I am rebuilding a 75 year old flathead and the manifold studs did not want to come out. I bought this tool even though it was more expensive than the cheap Chinese copies, and I am glad I did. It is built well, and successfully pulled all the studs. Very pleased, and If you have ever had to deal with a broken stud you know this is a sound investment.

I've used these particular remover many times over the past twenty years. Great for grabbing broken studs, swapping turbos, exhaust manifolds, etc. one of those tools you only use on occasion, but worth every penny when you do. Excellent quality. Stud removal is an art. These tools are the brushes.

This works using the roller friction method. I bought it to remove stubborn threaded studs from an engine. The studs were really tight. The rollers ended up crushing the thread peaks then would slip badly. Ended up buying the much cheaper drill chuck stud remover which got the job done. Ended up returning the itme.

My first use was cutting the head of a bolt off because it was stripped, and backing it the rest of the way out with one of these sockets. Once it grabbed on, it didn't budge, and backed the bolt out with ease. It wasn't an easy bolt. It has worked well for header studs as well. I haven't been disappointed that I spent the extra money to get a good set.

One of those tools that I may only use several times a year, but when I need it I'm sure glad I have it. I've only used these to install/remove turbo flange and exhaust manifold studs, but have been happy with the results each time. I'm impressed with the quality of these pullers and didn't even blink at the cost. Believe me these tools have paid for themselves many times over in my world.
