Ohhh Danny...
Man oh man, I was so happy when I heard Danny was finally getting his story told. He’s one character I adored in the That Boy Series. He’s fun, loving, and full of life. This book highlights that side of him even more. You know when you dislike a character with every fiber of your being? Yeh, me too. In this case it’s the evil witch, also known as, Lori. She always left such a bad taste in my mouth. We get the bad, the ugly, and the even uglier side of her in this book. I think the fact that we had someone to dislike, and I mean heavy on the dislike, helps build Danny’s story so much more. I love when a villain comes in and steals the show, and in this case Lori took the cake.We first learned of Jennifer Edwards in That Baby. She is the girl who steals the spotlight when she enters the room. The beauty in all aspects of life. And if you remember, that’s also when Danny and Jennifer initially meet; and guys that was AHfreakinMAYZING!!So fast forward fifteen years and here we are with Danny, the All American handsome QB, and Jennifer, the Girl Next Door Darling Actress. Put these two together and you’ve got yourself a perfect combination. But also add in a sour tasting Lori, and some other madness, and you’re in for a wild ride.I enjoyed the layered dynamics and different characters, they helped build what’s to come. Not only what’s to come, but the story as a whole. It’s not an easy love story. It hits in real life issues and feelings of uncertainty. If you’ve been dying for Danny, today’s the day to get your hands all over him.

More Danny, Jadyn and Phillip!
3.5 StarsJadyn, Phillip and Danny felt like friends of mine by the time I finished the first three books of the That Boy series. Now, I have to confess, I always wanted Jadyn and Danny to end up together, but Phillip was the guy for her and I learned to accept it. But what I never accepted was Danny marrying Lori. I could not stand that girl. She would give me whiplash. She seemed nice and sweet and then she turned into Satan and money and material things that impressed were all she cared about. So when Danny is blindsided by Lori telling him she wants a divorce, I was ready to do the happy dance. Ok, I knew that didn't mean Danny and Jadyn were going to end up together, but I have to admit-it wouldn't have sucked for me. Danny is shell shocked to find out that she's been having an affair with her plastic surgeon for the last year. Considering how many treatments she's had, I hope Danny at least got a break on her bills. Now climb into a Wayback machine -about fourteen years ago Danny had a flirty night with Jennifer Edwards. She wanted him, he wanted her, but he stopped it because he had a little girl and he wouldn't risk losing her because he cheated. I think if he was willing, Jennifer would have taken that pony for a ride. It's years later, and Jennifer's partner-Troy, a rock star, has been caught cheating one too many times. He's relapsed from his sobriety far too often for Jennifer to look the other way. She's looking to escape from the paparazzi and Jadyn throws her a life line. Now how she has the same phone number after her rise to stardom, and how Jadyn has it after all these years, seems farfetched, but I'll roll with it.Considering Danny's always kept Jennifer in the back of his mind and now she's staying right next door to his own house, expect all kinds of hormones to come bubbling up and this time there really isn't anything to keep other one of them away from the other! There have been a ton of changes in Jadyn, Phillip and Danny's lives. Jadyn and Phillip are both extremely successful and are parents to four kids. Danny has two kids and two NFL championship rings. They have remained the best of friends and I suspect, the next generation may hold a romance or two with all those kids. There's a lot going on in this story and it takes place over a short span of time. It's the first book of a duet, so yep, there's a cliffy ending. Don't let that deter you, it means we get more of our favorite trio!

Emotional, pulling, thrilling, interesting
Another emotionally charged thrilling story. Oh my goodness!! This book is Danny and Lori going through divorce, but Lori is being a REAL B@tch about it. Jadyn is instigating, but in an honest open way when she brings Jennifer back into Danny's life. This has so many realistic instances that I glad the author uses them. Highly recommended for mature readers, but definitely read.

Really good-but not a complete story
I really liked this book (my 1st Jillian Dodd novel). The characters & storyline were great.I loved the humor & supporting characters. I didn’t realize there were 2 books in the series. Though I did really enjoy it, I’m not paying $9.99 for the 2nd kindle book.

An Entertaining Read
That was a real tease with Dori in epilogue of the previous story! Clever. Good cliffhanger ending on this one.

Unrealistic
This book lost me. The prologue is 14 years earlier, where the two mains share a kiss. Fast forward to the present day (with no sign that we're there), and suddenly, Jennifer is best friends with Jadyn (who she hasn't been in touch with for 14 years) and is still head over heels in love with the MC. Obviously, these characters have been introduced in previous books - but my assumption was this was book 1 in a series as it states on the product page (That Boy KC Football Book 1). Lo-and-behold, it's actually book 4. Even so, it was far fetched and the characters lacked depth.

A disappointing book nowhere near as good as first
I loved the first three books and the main characters. They were genuine and entertaining, and the story was great to read. Book 4 is nothing like those books. Danny acts completely out of character and is insecure and unreasonable. Everyone else is completely two-dimensional. Jadyn is the perfect mother, designer, friend etc etc. She gives long-winded annoying, preachy advice to everyone and can do no wrong. Lori is the bad person so she is bad at everything - bad mother, friend, person. People are just not like that, they are complex and interesting. That is life, but that is not what you will find in this book. I did not buy the final book in this series as I suspected it would be the same. It was just too disappointing to spend money on a book with characters and a story that essentially go nowhere.
