Worth the money
Excellent boot! Extremely light weight, much like the Nike boot. They have the same response and feel as a sneaker when running. This boot is actually waterproof. I have been ankle deep in standing and flowing water and my feet stayed dry. The toe does scratch easily and will fade with everyday use in about a year. Overall worth the purchase.

Pay the extra money!!!I know you’re looking at other cheaper options!
First off these boots are so worth the money! I ordered a pair of 100 dollar boots and the difference is night and day. The quality of the Danners are superior. They are very comfortable, and light.

Great boots
I work for a large urban PD. I’ve been wearing these boots on patrol for the past three month. I’ll give you the good and bad of the time I’ve worn them. The bad: Break-in... A lot of reviewers say they have no breakin period but mine took about a week to really feel “right on my feet”. That said they’re awesome once they’re broken in Polish... first polish flaked right off. I stripped with alcohol and polished with parade gloss. Now they’re good to go. I’d recommend stripping whatever danner puts on with alcohol before you polish Breathablity... not an issue for me but if you’re prone to athletes foot you may want the non-gortex version. These do breath better than Danner Patrols or Acacias The good: Weight... these boots are light as feathers Fit... I have a wide foot and got the regular width. After a week of wear they fit like gloves. No hot spots, no discomfort. I’ve stood for long periods and ran in these and they’re great Durability... I was always skeptical of this type of boot based on their flimsy build. Not the case with these. While they’re flexible and light the soles are still sturdy enough to deal with the rigors of patrol work and the upper is made of tough material. Waterproof.... I’ve trudged through puddles and rain during the monsoons here and my feet stayed dry Bottom line: I’d recommend these to anyone looking for a lightweight yet tough patrol boot that’ll fit and feel more like a sneaker

Highly recommend
I've used these boots almost daily for work (LE). First off, these are the best boots I've had hands down. The Gore-Tex has been outstanding for keeping my feet dry. I don't miss having a zipper take my boots off, the laces are easy. There was no break in period. They arrived in the mail and I wore them that night, no discomfort at all. Very light boots. The only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is the sole. After walking in them for long periods of time, they can become uncomfortable. I'm sure a quality sole would address that.

These are great boots!
I have a pair of Danner hunting boots that I have had for over 40 years and they are still in good shape. How many companies can make that claim? That said, I was still concerned that these boots would work for me. Well, I am happy to say that those concerns were unfounded...the Danner quality prevails. First, just in case someone has the same issues as me I would like to mention my reason for selecting these boots. I had a surgery on my foot a few years back and afterward I developed a DVT (blood clot) in my right leg. It moved and I ended up with a pulmonary embolism and well...I almost died. What saved me was the fact that I ride bicycle...hard and fast, so my lungs were in good shape. Still, I needed treatment for the blood clot as my leg was swelling really bad....like an elephants foot. An interventional radiologist did perform a procedure to try and relive the swelling and although it helped I still have a lot of swelling in my right foot. So....I needed a boot that would give me room for that swelling but still lace up enough to fit mt left foot. I also still ride bicycle daily and wanted a boot that was waterproof. I also needed a boot that would look good enough for work. Well the Tachyon 8" GTX fit the bill. First, I wear a size 12 and 12D's fit perfectly, leaving me plenty of room for my toes. They are incredibly light too, which for mountain bike riding is great. The soles stick to my pedals without slipping even when wet. I can lace up the boots for both of my feet...even the swollen one, and the fit is great. They are easy to get on and off thanks to the nylon upper as it allows my socked feet to just slid right in. With leather boots the the leather uppers grab my socks pulling them backward against my toes. They are very cool boots too, so if you have hot feet these are great. I did have one problem which is the seam on the back of the uppers. It rubs the back of my foot, but I think that it will even out as a callus forms on my heel. I always have found taller lace up boots to be hard to get the right level of tightness and in my case now, the problem is even worse. I would always have to loosen the laces or tighten them. So what I did was buy some elastic cord and made a pair of laces for these boots, similar to what Keens sandals do. That works great as the stretch in the laces allows the boots to remain in a comfortable level of snugness. Good boots...no...great boots.

• Really like the weight of that boot (super light). • Easy to polish (military) Hint: tie some knots at the end of the laces to prevent them from slipping away from the eyelets thingy.

i am a regular 7 to 7 1/2, but since only limited sizes are available at this awesome price, was tempted to gamble and hope they will still fit, and they do. Shipping was fast and effortless, boots look great and comfy and are way better that the cheap ones i got from china before. Im still looking for another bargain and get the remaining colors available.

This boots are amazing! Very light and comfortable. I have used several boots of security but this ones are THE BOOTS! This take more than normal to arrive but I gave 5 starts because that was problem of the mail not the seller. Thank you very much
