Q: Does this valve require pressure at the inlet? I need it to be gravity fed.

I use this valve to stop rain water syphoning out of a water butt after cutting off the electrical supply to a pump. The valve works ok - it has about 3 foot head of water. Hope this helps.

Yes. The valve is either on or off. For variable temperature control you also require an in line variable temp controller

Q: Are they screw holes to fix this in an ABS box

There are 4 holes in the bottom but aren't tapped.
