FROGG TOGGSMen's Classic Pro Action Waterproof Breathable Rain Jacket

Very breathable
If you use jackets like I do this is a great jacket. Rain jackets are great in the wind and rain. This one is light enough to be used in warm weather and sized large enough to allow for layering in cool weather. The material has an unexpected feel for me...kind of "papery"...not bad just unexpected and different. However the material seemed very breathable when I write it in warm weather recently (more than I expected)...a real plus! I haven't with it in rain yet, but the seam taping is obvious and Frogg Toggs has a great reputation. This was an extra value as it was on reduced price.

FROGG TOGGS Men's Classic
Not a bad jacket for very heavy rains and wet weather.

This is a great jacket with just a couple of downsides
I was able to use this jacket during a rain filled trip to an amusement park. Kept the rain off of me and even kept my dry on the water rides (well at least the top half cover by the jacket). I was concerned at first about getting too hot in this because of the material but it wasn't bad. I do wish it was 4-5 inches longer. The major downside to this jacket is the location of the pockets. They are farther back than a normal jacket making it uncomfortable to get your hands in and out.

Too Small, size reviews not too accurate.
The material and workmanship were good. The size reviews were off.The SIZE CHART for LARGE is 54-57. I am 6'4" tall, weigh 215 lbs. and normally wear a 50 Long Sport Coat. It appeared that the LARGE would have enough room for a heavy shirt or light jacket. NOT QUITE!The LARGE did fit over a POLO SHIRT with little room to spare, the sleeve and body lengths where adequate. It was too tight when worn over an insulated flannel shirt or light jacket. I then ordered an XL. It MAY prove to be OK. When it arrives, I will again review the XL for size. I suggest ordering 1 size up when wearing a heavy shirt or light jacket.

People give this 5 stars? Really?!
I was taken in by a combo of the description, sales price, and top reviews. But this "raincoat" is a piece of trash. Literally. It feels like it is made from the super-lightweight semi-disposable grocery bags, as someone else said -- not even the Trader Joe's like heavier grocery bags (which would still be weird, but more durable.)It's not possible for me to do returns. So, I'm reviewing it so that others don't make my mistake.

The Best Raincoat Out There
It's very rainy in the winter where I live, and I'm outside everyday, so I have tried many different raincoats over the years. Frogg Toggs are the best. They're good for about 2 years of heavy use. Then they start to leak around the seams. Eventually they leak everywhere but hey, just buy another one. Plus they are very breathable. I've tried other brands and none seem to be as waterproof, as breathable, or as durable.

I Look Like the Michelin Man! Too Big on Me
If you plan on purchasing these Frogg Toggs, make sure to order a size smaller than your normal ones, or if you're like me and are on the edge of sizes (I flip between large and XL depending on what I'm purchasing, usually leaning to XL). I ordered the XL and it's huge on me. Took it out to go fishing in the rain and got a good laugh out of my sister who said I looked like the Michelin Man because there was so much extra space in it. Yes, it's that big on me. Since I'm past the return window, I chose to give this jacket to a co-worker and will be ordering a large.Aside from looking like a hot air balloon while wearing it, the fabric of this jacket is a bit odd, almost like tyvec and has a bit of a crinkly sound to it. It's very light weight for those who plan on using it for hiking/backpacking although its bulk may be a bit of a burden. As stated, I took it out fishing in the rain not long ago and stayed completely dry. Although I find that anything claiming to be waterproof has a threshold and will eventually soak through, it survived its first test with ease. I'll be ordering the large before long and will be sure to test it out to see just how long this waterproof jacket can last in a good rainfall. For now, four stars until I get to truly test this jacket out in a good rainfall.Update: October 27, 2019Four months have passed since my above review and not long after, I bought the large which is a much better fit. It's still a bit bulky which is fine since it'll allow me to add layers underneath if I need to. The area I live was having a bit of a drought and those times when it rained, it either wasn't much, was a passing thunderstorm (I don't play well with lightning), or was overnight which didn't allow for me to test just how waterproof this jacket is.That changed today with the passing of the remnants of a tropical storm and as expected, it withstood the rain for a while but did not hold up as well as I had hoped. Within a few hours of some pretty heavy rain, the jacket began to soak through. I didn't get completely soaked but the shirt I was wearing underneath did get wet in the shoulders. Had I stayed out in the rain much longer though, I probably would have gotten pretty soggy. Unfortunate, but not unexpected. The good: This jacket can withstand a rainfall as long as it isn't prolonged or too heavy and can also serve as a windbreaker which was a blessing to me a few weeks ago while on a riding mower during a windy day. Riding that mower was chilly until I put the jacket on which helped quite a bit and kept me warm for the rest of the day. With that said, I've dropped my rating from four stars down to three. This jacket is effective when it comes to a moderate rainfall and for blocking the wind when it has a bite to it. Unfortunately, while I'm not surprised, it doesn't live up to the claim of being waterproof.
