Q: will this arm fit onto a 5 inch desk?

If you mean that the desk is 5" thick where the clamp is expected to fit, then it won't fit because the mic stand includes a table mounting clamp with protective layer of sponge which has an adjustable positioning screw that can clip to any desktop up to 2” thick not 5".

Q: How do I move the after it’s all connected? It just stays in one spot, the instructions are awful.

Assuming you're talking about the stand's clamping point, it can be freely loosened and moved to wherever you want, it's not a permanent fixture. The same goes for the pop filter, though it does sag a bit, I found using a hair bobble to be useful for holding it up and due to it being black, you can't really tell it's there unless you actually look for it.

It fits with normal Blue Yeti. The product has a 3/8'' to 5/8'' screw adapter, after attaching it to the silver bar, you can install your Blue Yeti microphone.
