My wife uses it for her whole crack wheat bread and eat I it for breakfast cooking it like oatmeal it reminds me of a breakfast cereal my Grandma used to make me it was called Zoom for those of us can remember mmmm!!

Cracked wheat
This product is hard to find locally so I was glad I found it on Amazon. It is fresh. I would recommend it. I just wish it was packaged in smaller size.

Not coarse, not bulgur
Reading the other reviews I also repeat this is not coarsely ground - it is fairly fine but it is harder to judge with accuracy because of the greater issue/confusion in that it is not bulgur - just cracked ground wheat berries - it seems to not have been parboiled (thus the "dust" from grinding.) So for those familiar with the differences in taste and cooking times know what you are getting here. The bag itself just says cracked wheat and I think they should eliminate the references to bulgur on the page itself- just adds to confusion. I was only using for bread making but would not make pilaf or tabouli with it personally.
