Ok, I realize that, as an American, I have probably never had real single ingredient wasabi, but this product is amazing. If you have never tried real wasabi, the taste is so different. The fake wasabi gets the horseradish-mustard-like taste pretty close, but this hits hotter at the start and has a sweet, almost fruity taste at the finish. All I can say is wow.

This has some real heat to it! Unless you are a wasabi connoisseur or love really hot foods, be careful! Not knowing what I was doing on my first try, I put a large glob of this on a spoon and went for it. For a brief second I thought, “this isn’t so bad” and then I took a breath. The heat rushed to my nasal passages and brain and I thought, “and this is how I die”. After briefly blacking out, my soul returned to my body and everything was back to normal. It was quite the rush. So, if you are a thrill seeker, this product is for you.But truthfully, when used sparingly, this is a great wasabi which adds a nice heat to your food.

We love wasabi in our house! It goes great with sushi rolls, tuna steaks and more. Use your imagination. Highly recommend!
