Kam Wah Mooncake - 4 of a Kind (1 Yolk)

Loved how each mooncake had two yolks-- actually thought it was pretty interesting how the ones with two yolks was cheaper than the ones with one yolk in each. The only super traditional flavor in the set was lotus, but the other three flavors were all pretty good. Really good if you are looking for a gift!

The cake is tasty, moist and fresh. I buy this mooncake every year.

These mooncakes are large and well made. I like that they're stamped with characters that tell what flavor they are. Nice touch.The flavors and textures were all what we expect from well-made commercial mooncakes. The pineapple and taro flavors were delicious and added a nice twist to the more common lotus and red bean flavors.Just be aware - these are made with salted aged egg yolks, two per mooncake. They have a texture like dried biscuit dough and taste to me like salted trout. I hear that's "good" yolk flavor, but as a lover of mooncakes without yolks, I found the yolks ruined the bites and started picking them out before serving.

I don’t understand why there are so many seeds in the two flavors that I cut open. Very odd taste especially the egg yolks, the odd taste left in my mouth is even worse afterwards. The categorized flavors doesn’t taste anywhere near the stated flavor. The package Contant mentioned nothing about seeds. I posted pictures to show the two that have so many seeds.- very bothersome that I am stuck with something that is so useless

The cakes were delicious and big enough for several people to share

These are a tradition for the Moon Festival. I also serve them for dim sum parties to expose my guests to different Asian desserts they may not be familiar with. NIW I don't have to travel to get these.
