I’ve been using the SLx Outdoor Extension Lead Waterproof for a while now, and overall, it works just fine. The design is practical, and the waterproof feature does its job perfectly in outdoor conditions.At first, I was a bit concerned about the quality of the plastic—it feels a little cheap compared to some other outdoor extension leads. However, after regular use over some time, I haven’t encountered any issues at all. It seems to hold up well despite my initial impressions.

Works well !!! Good value and seems well made for cost price .

Cable appears durable and is long enough for my needs. It is sturdy without the plug hanging loose and the cable and plug stow away completely within the case. I really like the socket covers that protect the connection to the appliance from the rain to quite a good degree. It also has a thermal cutout, presumably to protect the cable from overheating. Hopefully that will work if the 20m of cable is not fully wound out.The only minor criticism is the ergonomic design of the handle makes carrying this item seem unbalanced and awkward so it appears heavier than it is. Not worth reducing the rating.

Bought recently to use in my garden for multiple items, but mainly, the kids two bouncy castles.The 20m extension cable works perfectly for me.Used it in the rain multiple times too and it has never faulted. Great extension reel at a great roice.Would highly recommend

It does what it's designed to do. It protects the plugs from the wet. The cable is plenty long enough and Easy to roll up and store. A bit plastic, but sturdy and looks good.Does the job.

I have recently moved into a house with a huge garden. It's long and narrow and we have no power outside. I wanted to be able to use all my electric tools, chainsaw, lawnmower, shredder, so I purchased this. I recently used it over a long weekend shredding and chopping the ivy and elder out of the end of the garden, it did a great job. The cord is easy to roll out and back in again, it's sturdy and strong plastic, the water resistant seals over the plug sockets are really useful in the winter when everything is so soggy, and the unit is nice and compact for storage. I am sure I will get many years use out of this. My only issue with it is that the power lead from the house to the reel is BLACK. This isn't ideal as really you want the electric wire to be brightly coloured so that it can't be missed. In my soggy, muddy garden at this time of year the black lead was easy to lose especially as the skies are grey and the light is not good. If I was mowing the lawn or using a strimmer I would have to be alot more careful about placing and marking the lead so that it's easily visible. Ideally the lead would have been striped or bright orange. But overall it's very good value and essential bit of kit if you need to keep your garden tidy and not install outdoor sockets.
