A Beautiful and Solid Upgrade
This sink instantly increased both the function and visual appeal of our kitchen. The basins are DEEP and even though they are symmetrical there is still room for our small dish rack in one side. It comes with two strainer baskets which are very nice: one traditional and one with a deep removable particle basket should you not have a garbage disposal. We do, so we installed the traditional one and plan to use the deep basket on my future potting bench sink. The construction is SOLID and it was packed as well as any product I've ever seen. We paired it with a Kohler Bevin pull-down faucet and they are perfect together.

Really good sink for the price.
Good heavy duty quality sink so far. Seems to be pretty resistant to scratching. Still looks good after a few months of use.

(STILL) Very pleased
2023 update:Five years later we are still very happy with this sink. Wear is minimal - we've caused a few scratches here and there, and our hard water has caused a little bit of a faded look, but honestly we also have also not bothered with any special cleaning other than dish soap and occasionally bleach so I consider that a low maintenance win. My husband has also abused it with various chemicals for his projects, and nothing has caused damage. It's a large, deep sink that will hold any of my stock pots, roasting pans, or baking sheets. We did replace the included basket with a Waste King garbage qdisposal and flange (which fit just fine) so can't comment on the longevity of the basket.Additional info for the DIYer: the sink fit inside a 24" base cabinet, with some carpentry... It will fit the nominal space when surface mounted, but the side panels of the cabinet had to be shaved slightly. To undermount, more of the side panels would need carved away but it would still work before encroaching on the adjacent cabinets... Something you'd never see, but is additional work. This is the smallest cabinet it will fit without significant modification, which was important for our very small kitchen.Original 2018 review:After a lot of agonizing on sinks, I decided to try this one out. We just installed it last night so this review does not yet address wear/tear. I am, overall, very pleased with it, but there are some points to address, and I will update as time goes on.Pros:- It's a beautiful sink. A nice, textured and neutral black that looks great.- Compared to similar, it's reasonably "inexpensive."- The basket strainer is pretty cool, a feature I haven't seen in any other sinks. The stopper seals well, and it's made quite nicely. Also easy to install despite being just a little different from other strainers (a screw through the middle, rather than a collar threaded to the underside).- Reasonably easy install if you are handy with tools.- With very careful measuring, we fit this in a 24" cabinet. It is the largest possible sink I could fit in there, and it works perfectly!- Nice and deep even as a top mount.- HEAVY. Heavy, thick, well-made, and sound absorbing.Cons:- I'm a little concerned with the underside texture, as there is a smattering of small voids in the rounded corners and edges. Perhaps the mold was not completely filled in those placed, and I worry about spots of weakness. It is not a defect per say, just a manufacturing thing- BIG ISSUE... is the basket strainer proprietary, or did we just get a bad one? We have a dishwasher tail piece, and it **will not** attach without leaking. The thread pitch of the included strainer seems to be different that the tail piece nut. With a plain tail piece, we could just switch out the nut with the one the strainer came with, but you can't remove that nut on a dishwasher tail piece. *None* of our standard plumbing pieces will attach, so the threads are definitely different. Currently in contact with customer service, so we will see what happens.Notes for buyers:- If you're a tactile-oriented person who is very aware of texture, not just appearance, it will feel a little artificial, and plastic-like... obviously, this is not cut from a solid block of stone ;) I'm a very tactile person, and after the initial surprise, it's not an issue to me.- No clips included. There are notches for clips, and there are directions regarding clips. You may want them, you may not... the listing doesn't mention clips being included so there's no points off of the product, it's just something to be aware of.- The stencil was too big a cut-out for our comfort. We have heard frequently that the "minimum cabinet size" and the cutout stencils tend to give contractors *lots* of wiggle room, and aren't necessarily the absolute minimum. This stencil gave very little support to the sink edge. So, we did the old fashioned method by turning it upside down, tracing the outer edge, and measuring to draw the cut line. However, you can see where the outer 1/4" of the lip is machined to be flat, whereas the rest of the lip is not... this just means that **if you don't follow the stencil** then you need to pay attention to your cut hole and check if any corners are a little high (ours is fine).- There is no faucet apron (obviously lol). You may want a faucet apron, but I was glad it doesn't.The "I wish..." list:- I would have liked for the drain lip to have been machined just a tiny bit deeper and with a little less "wiggle room." We have to be careful of the gasket size under the strainer's edge, else the strainer is too high. Also, there's a narrow groove all the way around the drain flange (we have 3 different strainers and disposal flanges we tried on, and they consistently had that space). Not a *huge* issue but both details allow water to stay in the bottom of the sink.- Last note... the rear drain is a plus. However, I would have liked if the Kraus sinks with side-offset drains were available in this size... even if a little more expensive, I would have purchased that model. :)

Beautiful sink! Great brand! Outstanding customer service!!!
We purchased this sink from Amazon about two months ago. We received it two days later but the right back corner was cracked and detached from the sink. I called Kraus directly on Wednesday morning and spoke to Tony. After emailing him photos of the damage along with a copy of my invoice he said he’d place the order for a replacement which he assured me would go out the same day. Later the same day I received an email with tracking information for the replacement sink. On Friday, just two days later I received a second broken sink. This time it was the left back corner. At this point we were concerned, thinking Kraus would lose patience and somehow make their problem our problem as many of today’s companies do.I emailed Tony with pictures of the damage and followed up with a phone call sharing my observations regarding the packing and shipping. In both instances of receiving damaged product the packing materials had shifted in the box leaving the larger back of the sink where the faucet is installed vulnerable to the exact damage we were seeing. Tony assured me they would open the box and inspect the packaging before shipping a third sink. At this point we were losing faith but Tony was ‘All in’, understanding that we really had our sights set on having this sink. On the following Monday I received an email from Tony with tracking information and his assurance that the product was inspected prior to shipping. On Wednesday the third sink arrived. The packing tape across the top of the box had come Lioose and my hopes of receiving an acceptable product was diminishing. After opening the packaging I first noticed the sink was whole, no broken corners. I then got a shop light and started inspecting for minor cracks of which there were none. The third sink arrived in perfect condition!Originally we planned to have the sink professionally installed but with the delay we now had scheduling conflicts with the installer so I decided to do the installation myself. While the clips that secure it to the underside of the countertop (this was installed as a top mount) were a bit tricky we did get at least one on all four sides. The installation, including our existing R.O.filter, a net Delta ‘Touch 2O faucet took about 3-4 hrs. We did get tripped up a bit as we had to get creative with the new placement of the drains but in hindsight, successful science projects are a lot of fun!Bottom line....We love this sink!!!! In reading reviews we’ve noticed several people talk about ‘Hard Water’ spots and whiteness. Our water is by no means soft, by the same token, it’s not West Texas hard either. A good example of our water is, DO NOT wash your car in the heat os the day.... It will leave spots regardless of how quickly you work to wipe it dry. Having said that, after a month or so, we’ve found NO WATER SPOTS in the sink.Bottom line 2.0...... Customer service.... Kraus earns TEN STARS! They absolutely earned our business and recommendations. So many companies today operate with an unfortunate motto of “We don’t care and it shows”. Not the case with Kraus. They absolutely care and will definitely earn your business given the chance! Their customer service is absolutely outstanding!!!
