No instructions. End ferrules too short.
No instructions included. Although it's not overly difficult to assemble, some help wouldn't go amiss!Put elastic through poles easily enough, but trying to work out how to make the end ferrules work was difficult.Once the ferrule is on the pole, a knot is needed to keep the elastic in place. But once the elastic has a knot in it, there is only a fraction of space left at the end of the ferrule to go over the little metal spike on the tent, certainly not enough to make me feel it would have a chance of staying on!Of course, there were no instructions to tell me if I was doing it correctly, but I couldn't see any other way!I ended up knotting the elastic at the end of the pole, then attaching the ferrule with a filler/glue material, and covering with duct tape for good measure.Probably won't use the tent until next year to see whether it will all work, so fingers crossed.

Easy to adjust
Bought these to replace a set that had gone missing. A bit fiddly to put together, have a pair of pliers handy as the little hook snapped off so just bent the wire over to make a new one. More elastic than needed, make sure you pull it up taught or the poles come apart in the tent sleeve. Not sure how long the original poles were but these are easy to trim with a junior hacksaw. The poles had the nipples on the end for fixing in to eyelets on the tent. Mine has ring and pin fixings. There is a hole at the end of the nipple that the pin will go in, but I was not sure if it was far enough so I ordered some more ferrule ends. Happy now can still keep using tent. Edited - the pin will go in the nipple, take the nipple off the pole, stand it on something hard, insert pin as far as it will go then give a bash with your peg hammer.

equally as brittle but do the job
They are cheap, they arrived quickly, they are a perfect match, but they are equally prone to split and snap as the originals, hence 3 stars. So many tents have products that break within a few uses, be it the poles or the plastic connectors onto which they fix to the ground sheet. Clearly banking on purchasers not bothering to return, and rather throw away.

Plenty of spares
Great item , I only needed one so now I have extra and keep one in the tent bag as a spare. The needle tool was great don't know how you would change the cord without it.The poles are easy.to cut to length with a hacksaw.I initially had a problem when the cord arrived damaged, but the supplier sorted it out quickly.

Great spare tent poles
Bought this to replace missing poles on fishing shelter. I had to shorten the length by 10cm which was easy enough and did the job perfectly.

Not very good.
Seamed all good at first. But unfortunately 1 section of the poles snapped during the first few days of use. Maybe I had it under too much pressure (??), but it was nothing too extreme. The other sections seem ok so far, but obviously it's not great if one of your poles snaps! Would probably be ok if you didn't have it under too much strain.Update several months later : Repaired section which split, but 2 other sections split immediately afterwards.

Excellent value
Brilliant complete pack. Lost all my tent poles needed four packs to get tent in usable condition. Was able to use these and fit very easily. Have a full working tent and spares left over for later. Arrived next day. Well packed and very good price as was told by tent dealer it will cost around £153.
