A little more complicated than the average dr.suess books.Love that there is both Spanish and English on the page.

I was really excited to find some Dr. Seuss books in Spanish. However, this one is translated by a different person than "El Lorax" and "Oh cuan lejos llegaras." This translation is literal and would be good for people wanting to compare the Spanish and English text. If you're looking for a Dr. Seuss book in Spanish that maintains the rhyme and creative wording, this is not the book for you.

I purchased this bilingual book as a gift for a little boy who lives in a home where his mother speaks Spanish and very little English. His father speaks both English and fluent Spanish. The little boy bounces back and forth from one to the other. I thought this book would possibly help his mother with her English and would be a good way of teaching the little boy to read English. Getting the family to read it to him is going to be the hard part.

It took a bit long for the book to arrived,and it had some damage. But in all I was satisfied with the book.

Not only am I a Spanish native speaker but I am a college instructor teaching Spanish language and literature. I really wanted my kids to have both versions of the story since they are being raised bilingually. However, to my dismay, the Spanish translation is an awful, pathetic, literal one, totally lacking any cultural interest and not to mention the rhyme. We also own "Un pez, dos peces..." and the translator an Aida Something did the most amazing job.The only reason why I give 2 stars instead of 1 is that at least we have the English version and that's definitely the one I am reading to my kids. I am not poissoning their ears with a made up Spanish with a lot of unforgivable mistakes.

Love almost all Dr. Seuss books. Totally recommend it, especially in hardcover. My some love it, and I really enjoy hearing him learning to read and reading it to me. They are also really funny and the pics tooThis is one of my favorite

My daughter loves This book so much. It is in wonderful condition. Looks brand new and for the price amazing buy!!

I had hoped that this would improve our Spanish, but the translation doesn't rhyme or scan the way the English version does; it needs a more fluent reader if it is to be read aloud to children. Some of the words used - for instance "ensombrerado" - are too chunky and would not be used in everyday Spanish. I was a little disappointed - but I still quite liked it!

I could appreciate inside of the book some dirty lines, but the worst part was at the exterior, was dirty and sticky. Also i have to say, was a cheap book

A pesar de ser un libro muy recomendado, a mi no me ha gustado demasiado. La traducción al castellano es muy, muy mala.Ya solo el título lo dice, ensombrerado, esa palabara no se suele utilizar en España, no puedo opiniar sobre si es un castellano Latinoamericano....El resto del libro es similar, hay muchas frases que no quedan bien...En resumen no me gusta nada, nada la traducción.

ESTA MUY MAL TRADUCIDO!! ES TRADUCCION LATINA Y NO SOLO ESO, NI SIQUIERA ESTA TRADUCIDO EN RIMA!! QUE ES LA PRINCIPAL CARACTERISTICA DE LOS LIBROS DEL DR SEUSS!!! LO HE DEVUELTO Y COMPRADO OTRO AQUI QUE SE QUE ESTA BIEN TRADUCIDO, PUES YA SE LO HABIA REGALADO A MI SOBRINO

A pesar de que adoramos a dr. Seuss en casa, la traducción no nos ha gustado. Otros libros del mismo autor como el grinch y cuán lejos llegarás tienen traducciones mejores. La versión en inglés es maravillosa, eso sí
