Where to start? Well, putting in the batteries was rather a challenge, as all 4 of the "arms" that were supposed to extend from the lid to the base to form the hinge were completely gone. Not broken, not snapped, we're talking paranormal "gone", as in never there. In trying to shut it and clasp it anyway to see if it was something I could creatively work around, it wouldn't lock together. After about 10 trys, a close inspection revealed that the bottom portion of one of the locking clasps was missing. I later found that in the box, so that's definitely not hanging out with Elvis. But how sturdy can these things be if simply being shipped sparked self destruction? Finally, the remote control controls one set of lights, then touch the power again and it's both, or, the remote controls both all the time. It's really just a coin toss which it will be. Either way, you can't switch from one to the other, they're both the same color, unless you're extremely lucky and one of those fluky times it only controls one, the uncontrolled one is the already the color you wanted.Now finally, finally. The number of colors this lights changes to is waaaay overstated. There's two blues, and that includes the purple, and the rest of the colors aren't much different.If you're looking for color changing led fairy lights, keep looking.

The lights were delivered in working order and on time. The lights string itself comes rolled up but actually unroll longer than what I expected. I liked the colors but the white color is slightly blue, not a warm white. The only thing I didn't like about the options on the remote is that you cannot choose which it scrolls thru for the flashing, it is already preset. The remote controls both strings at once. The brightness can be adjusted also. Overall I'm very satisfied with the lights, I'm currently using them for Halloween and plan on leaving them up for Christmas also! Great purchase!

I surprised my son with these lights inside his fort last night. He's been reading in his fort with a flashlight for a while. A few months back, I purchased lights that plugged into the outlet for him, but it didn't work well with the location of the fort. These lights are amazing!!! It's battery operated, so we don't need to position his fort a certain way. Note: he builds his forts with blankets on chairs! So, we just hang these lights on the chairs! The remote changes the colors and dimness/brightness of the lights. Make sure to pull out the plastic tab from the remote before using! I will be buying again when Christmas gets close to decorate my piano room for my students!

When it was working it was really pretty, It has a verity of colors that look great. After a few weeks of having it I noticed that even if I chose a color the whole power of the lights would shut off. I finally learned how it works, if you are using stronger/brighter colors then you have to turn the brightness down in order for it to stay on for more than two seconds. But for warmer not as bright colors, like red or yellow, you can have the brightness all the way up. If you are going to buy this product don't get your hopes up too high, but overall the quality is OK and the colors were great.

Although generally a good deal, this package of two light strands with 2 separate battery packs, we were provided with only one remote control. Not a problem if I keep both strands but my plan has been to give one away. Bummer.Other than the remote the product is excellent

DO NOT BUY THESE unless you’re looking for something very temporary, almost disposable. The lights appeared great at first, and I loved the timer functionality, but that lasted for about a week before the red light went out. Then a couple days later the entire thing went out (and yes, I changed the batteries twice to make sure that wasn’t the problem). I had them outdoors as part of some Halloween decorations as they were advertised as waterproof, but I suspect they’re not as waterproof as the seller claims them to be, if at all. Very disappointed and needless to say I won’t be repurchasing.

I have really enjoyed these lights. I bought an assortment for a birthday party, because I was unsure of what I needed. These were some of my favorites. It comes in handy that they are battery powered so I can hang them anywhere. I also like the wire. I ended up wrapping them around a pole and the wire insured that they stayed in place. The remote is easy to use and it has many options for different colors and patterns.
