Surprisingly good for the price. It's a replica of a Deuter bag I used to have and this coincidentally replaces. It has some pretty solid stitching and fabric seems solid. The plastics used for clips and others is not first grade, but it isn't too bad either and holds my chest really tight as I like it.One thing that doesn't work well is the zipper for the bottom pocket. The bottom pocket is elastic wrapped and the zipper won't go without multiple sequences of pulling, zipping, etc.... But you can access the same space from the main zipper atop so it's only a bid deal if you specifically use the separating inside to separate the space in 2 (to put shoes at the bottom for example, which I do.Zippers are otherwise solid and the bag is comfortable.Overall impressive for the price. Remember you are not buying a Deuter or North Face bag and setting your expectations right is the only thing I would worry about buying this bagpack. For $35 (look hard) it's incredible!

But this wasn't it. First, 40L is not as big as I thought it would be, but that's on me Second, this backpack has padding/thick material so it is not as flexible or roomy as I would like. Third, it's heavier than necessary as a result. Fourth, though the picture and the title indicate the product is red, I got a blue one. I like blue but just...weird. So, overall, I'd say it's sturdy and has good padding on the straps and does seem like it will distribute weight well, but there won't be all that much weight cuz it's a daypack.

We bought this pack for biking. The trampoline-style suspension system is great for biking because it creates an airspace between the pack and the user. Apart from helping the user to stay cool, it also keeps hard objects from poking into the back through the fabric. The size is perfect for a day pack--many day packs do not offer this much space (I've checked). I am sorry to say we returned the pack because of a strong chemical smell. On a scale of 1 to 10 (with 10 equivalent to skunk spray), this pack rates around a 7 or 8. While I may be mistaken, the fabric was treated with a waterproofing chemical. This is worrisome. Scotchguard and other waterproofing chemicals were banned in the United States because of high toxicity. The pack comes from Hong Kong where similar regulations may not exist. There is no list of chemicals used on the pack in English, but it may contain PFOS, perfluorooctane sulfate, which was discontinued by the 3M company in 2000. Especially since the description for this pack does not mention a waterproof fabric, such as Goretex, I presume it was treated with chemicals. Treated fabric is still not 100% waterproof, which may explain why a rain cover is included.

zippers broke too easily

I wouldn't have given one star but zero stars was not an option. This bag is very cheaply made and does not look like it will last more than a week if used. It is listed as 40L capacity but it should have been listed as 4L. If you have a small child and they want to carry their own juice box and a small bag of snacks I guess this backpack would be suitable but it is definitely not sized for an adult. It was listed as having a waterproof laptop pocket but this is not the case. You may be able to squeeze a small tablet in there but I wouldn't advise getting it near water. The cardboard box that it was shipped in is more waterproof than this backpack. The zippers are already pulling apart and all I did was remove it from the shipping box. Avoid ordering this backpack, you WILL be disappointed.

The media could not be loaded.  I took the hiking backpack out in the wilderness two days before reviewing and tested it thoroughly. (Ignore the machetes attached to it in the video. That simply shows it went out with me and I liked storing them together. NOTE: they are NOT included and hopefully everyone gets that). The backpack had a lot of things going for it including:- Plenty of space including straps, pockets, compartments, zippered areas, and more. i normally carry a larger bag but it worked out well for need.- Places to hold water bottles, hiking gear, and more.- Secure straps.- Comfort.- Durability.My favorite feature with this product is the CoolMax feature. This is basically a way that the bag can set comfortably on your back and vent, keeping you from sweating and from the bag riding uncomfortably. This helped out immensely with carrying. I carried this over 7 miles of rough area where I had to path the place myself, and during that time the bag breathed well and was not a burden.I combined this with my water bladder system and did not have to worry about spillage because of the bag's waterproof features. This would work well for electronics as well.This was supplied as a sample and tested for feedback.

GREAT BACKPACK.. works well for my morning hiking excursions. very durable and love the cooling feature.

LIGHTWEIGHT and DURABLE.....Well worth the money.
