MV Verholen GPS Ball Mount compatible with BMW S1000RR VER-4901-10300

After three attempts at a center mounted ball for ram accessories, one of which was actually successful, I paid the cash to get this item.The ram mount uses a rubber shaft that is squished against the interior of the stem to create friction. This works in theory but it has flaws. First, the actual ball portion still spins around and second, no matter how tight you make the mount, it still wiggles out.Enter the... what's this thing called? Meh, this thing works... amazing. It slips over the nut with machined precision. It doesnt want to spin simply because it's so tight on the points. This could have been done better by actually making a hexagonal cut rather than a simply circle to ensure it can't spin. However their is a small tension screw to install to do this job.The ball itself is screwed on sufficiently tight however in an attempt to adjust it I inadvertently loosened it. If you're worried about it vibrating loose, I'd say a dab of blue loctite would be a perfect solution.A rubber ring bisects the plastic ball, a slight one up on most ram mount balls. However the spring loaded ram arm was going to be sufficient to hold whatever in place.For what you pay, this device is a little pricey. But it's cleaner, more reliable, and simpler than the ram fork kit, and I trust it with my phone and my drinks more.

Worked perfect for my BMW s1000rr

It looks ok but needs modifying as does not fit hole on the steering head nut. Anyone got a lathe..?
