Read some of the complaints about this item and similar products, but haven't experienced any of them. The item is thin and unobtrusive (especially if the laptop is a similar mat-black color finish). It slides back and forth to open and close the viewing window. As for installation, it adheres to the laptop quite strongly. One of the big criticisms of these camera covers concerns the adhesion to the laptop, but I took the time to prepare the contacting surface on the laptop, wiping it to remove all oils, dirt, etc. And I also washed my hands first to make sure no body oils transferred to the adhesive and lessened its efficacy.

These are so tiny - installing them on a new iMac was difficult. it also feels kind of flimsy. Not the best camera covers i've ever had.

I have been using pieces of paper to block my webcam until I came across this on Amazon because I was tired of the paper falling off. These are perfect. Not only are they easy to stick on but they slide back and forth to allow easy access to the camera.

I have a different one of these on my work computer and I HATE it because it is so big and bulky that I can't close my computer properly. This one is awesome because it is easy to use and I can close my laptop all the way. I love it! I may even buy another set for my family!

Warning. Will crack some MacBook displays

Came in a set of three so one for me, my husband, and my work computer. Very easy to install and does not look like it would be damaging to the computer. I’m very happy with this product.
