I wear these all the time and I use them for my meditative practices. Unlike one with elastic bands, this one isn't prone to wearing out quickly. The individual beads feel smooth with a hint of the wood grain. Because of the various elements on this chain, it gives a good tactile experience as your are processing through the beads. These prayer beads "feel" like they are of good quality materials. All the knots are heat treated to ensure they don't unravel. I've had them for a while now and they are just as beautiful as the day I took them out of the awesome bag (I gave the bag to my daughter since I wear the beads non-stop). here is my honest review: 1- product is fake, not ebony wood indeed. 2- black color starts to fade after 1st use with my fingers. 3- strap is very very weak, beads from top starts to fall apart as it's not completely tightened. 4- several cracks in the beads itself. 5- it's very poor material and has nothing to do with the picture. I don't recommend it at all to anyone.
