I absolutely love this brush. I was a little hesitant about the size but when it arrived it was bigger than I thought and definitely an adequate size. When you hold the brush itself in your hand it is apparent how top notch the quality is. The finish of the handle is impeccable and the weight is great. The bristles are the softest I've ever felt and extremely densely packed and provide a great backbone, much better than some of the reviews I've seen of the brush. The bristles are so nice and so well packed that the heat and water retention are almost too good. The process of cleaning the brush after use and getting the soap out of it can be quite time consuming since lather sticks in the brush so well. I would rather spend an extra minute or two on this to have a brush of this quality. Definitely can't go wrong with this brush.

Amazing brush, great quality and case/presentation. Makes for a nice gift too. Immediately felt the quality was superior to other brushes I have. There is a bit of smell at first but following some directions online (basically letting it soaked on shaving cream for a day), it is gone. The base of the brush is quite large and wont fit the "standard" brush/razor stand I got here.

I did business with a company in London for several years. I bought all my soap, razors and brushes from them. Kent brushes can't be beat. They are pure badger, the best. When you by a brush, don't get crazy. The BK 12 is VERY large. The BK4 is very good. I broke my old brush. I figured that instead of waiting 3 weeks, I could check Amazon. They have Kent. They deliver a lot faster.

In recent years I have become a big fan of Kent combs and brushes, repeatedly finding them (in my opinion of course) to be well worth their higher price tag. I can't really compare this to other shaving brushes, as this is the first one I've owned, but it certainly does the job quite well, and appears well made. The bush size/surface is also ideal in my estimation, and I can't image needing a larger one, even if I wasn't applying the shaving cream around a beard.

My other brush is over 20 years old. I bought this to leave at my house in another state and was apprehensive because of the price. When it dropped to $90 I pulled the trigger. Well, I am now taking my old brush to my other house and using the kent as my everyday brush. There isn't enough space to write a proper review for how good this brush is. If I had purchased it for the original price of $140 I would still be thrilled. A+++

I am only beginning to learn about traditional shaving and this is my first badger hair brush. It was highly recommended on various forums, Amazon reviews, and shaving book I'm reading. So far I am really enjoying this brush and real (no aerosol) shaving cream, though I have little to compare it to. The brush feels very soft and luxurious on my face, and for the first time in my life I'm looking forward to shaving!

Estupenda brocha. Pelo de tejón silvertip, muy suave, pero no blando. Con el primer lavado, la brocha florece y se abre prometiendo muchos afeitados placenteros.Las puntas son de una gran suavidad y la densidad del nudo, que no es excesiva, permite el flujo de agua y jabón con la que formar una espuma adecuada para el afeitado no es problema. Sensación de lujo en la cara para empezar el día.Aunque se puede usar en bol y con jabones, yo diría que dónde realmente da lo mejor de sí misma es para espumar en cara con una buena crema.Preciosa presentación en un estuche de falso cuero y terciopelo. Muy adecuada para regalo.

It is very soft and still it makes all these micro-pinpricks at your skin when using it. It makes a thik lather in no time and is a good tool. It is called the small/travel-size which wonders me. Diameter of bristles is about 6 cm, which is half of my chin. Who would need a bigger one? The accompanying travel case is also of best quality. All in all: luxery!

This is my second Kent shaving brush. The first,a BK2 lasted for six years, and although still serviceable was just starting to show its age.Despite being listed as a small this is the same size as the BK2 and I would describe it more as a medium. It comes in a beautiful red travel case which is a very useful addition.In use the brush lathers both soap and cream with ease, and despite the reviews I've read I don't find it at all floppy. (I've also had no issues with shedding either). It holds plenty of soap and being silver tipped it's also very soft on the face.At £45 it's a real bargain and genuine saving on list price. For a few extra quid you can throw in a matching stand which will help prevent mildew and prolong the life of the brush.

This brush is perfect for travelling to go in the wash bag and it's not too small for an everyday shaving brush. I think people maybe put off by the word "small" but by most makers sizes it's more of a medium. As with all Kent silver tip brushes the quality is second to none and after a good few months of using the brush it has only shed two bristles. If you like a firm brush just dunk it in hot water and then shake it off. If you like a softer brush then just soak it for a little longer.Dave Sheppard.

I bought this brush for my fiance as a present in February. He started using it in March, looking after it well, hanging it to dry, etc. and it started completely falling apart by July. He can no longer use it as it shed so many bristles each use that it makes it impossible to shave. I am incredibly disappointed with this brush as it was meant to last for a long time and this brush hasn't even made it 5 months. Go elsewhere and by it as there is no way to get a refund for such a faulty product here.
