Excellent nutritional food.
I use this in miso soup and it has nutritional value that is unsurpassable. We love it, and it's easy to use.I wish it was a little less expensive. They probably use this for making fertilizer. It's so plentiful in the ocean, I can't imagine why it is so expensive.

covered in white mold type stuff. I figured maybe it was Salt. I soaked it over an hour. Not salt.
The pictures are after the soak in water and after marinated overnight. I still have to cook it. I'm leary to use this package. I included a picture of a similar product that I use, it is not covered by white mold like substances. I have bought a similar product from whole foods that wasn't covered by a white substance this product was covered in white mold type substances. I figured maybe it was salt. So I soaked it slightly over an hour. I marinated it over night in olive oil. I don't think this kelp was fresh or new. It seems like it was an old product that was sent to me.

Perfect for soup stock
I make soup stock with this product, and sometimes I slice it up, after making the stock and either add it to the soup or stir fry it up and serve as a side dish.
