Umeshiba Pickled Plum Japanese Umeboshi Snack (Dried Pickled Plum x 4)

We grew up on these! We can never find them at our Asian stores. I’m so happy it’s here on Amazon! I’ve ordered 6 bags and my husband is already on his third. It is so addicting! That sour, vinegary, crunchy taste is soooo yummy! I went back on to order more and they are out. We are enjoying every bite!

My Japanese grandma used to give these to me as little snack, but I’ve never been able to find them as an adult at any of my local asian markets.. but finally! I was so happy to have found these here. They were yummy and gave me all of the nostalgia. They expire within a few months, but they will definitely be eaten before then so that’s no issue. So happy!

I got five packages of these plums maybe several months ago, and I still have some bags lying around somewhere. The tinier packages contain dehydrated, very salty, plums, a little like traditional umeboshi but sweeter. (They have added honey.) I enjoy sucking on them, however, like dried cherries, if I have too many of them my stomach will start to hurt. The larger packets contain the larger pickled plums, not sweet like the green variety, but much closer to an umeboshi vinegared flavor and very crunchy. Each plum is different in its consistency, but I find the majority of them to be fairly crunchy. I had a friend try these and he said "Not really a flavor we have here (in the States)", and promptly spat his out. Which is true! So I would recommend these if you like a shocking new change of flavor or are looking to try an authentic Japanese treat. Umeboshi (pickled plums) are very good! I hope you enjoy them as much as I do!

This product is crunchy, salty, and sour. Unfortunately it expired a week after receiving. Pretty unreasonable to sell something that expires soon.

Love it! Very satisfied. Arrive in two weeks, well packaged and taste just like I expected it to! Used to munch on these when I went to school in Okinawa and I miss it since moving to states. Now I can finally have my fill! Thanks seller!

Real Ume. Price is higher but everything is now days. Love having a taste of home.
