Hot & Slow - Best Masters Of The 70s

With these songs from 1976 to 1978, an argument can be made that this was the greatest rock and roll band that ever existed and no one else comes close. There is an interesting, dynamic, high-level interplay between the guitar virtuosity of Uli Jon Roth and the unique and beautiful tonality of Klaus Meine's voice.

You gotta have this!!!!!!!!!!This cd contains pretty much the best of the best from the Scorpions early days. It's missing a few gems, theirs no doubt about that. Tunes like He's A Woman She's A Man, Steamrock Fever and The Sails Of Charon should be on here. They were really the last tunes from the older style of music the band used to play. Ulrick was still around as well, so those added songs would have really completed this Best Of compilation. However, having said that, the tunes that are here are great songs and deserve our respect. This 70's best of is a darn good one. The packaging is no big deal with no pics or anything like that, but the sound is very good so it gets a 4 stars.Check it out!

Pretty much the best tracks off very early scorp albums that are sometimes hard to find but you can get a taste of the brilliant hooks and rhythmic melodies that started their superstar status. Over the years the band has progressed upon that successful formula and style that hasn't changed much from the beginning that fans have come to expect. This is a must have for any Scorpion fan.

As I've written in other reviews of CD's released that contain songs from their past, the songs are outstanding, and a good representation of their roots, but its release wasn't necessary to hold their fans over until they released an all NEW CD. It's a money making proposition for the band. That said, I still bought it to add to my collection of their body of work and to encourage the band (via record sales) to keep rockin'!

Without a doubt, the best compilation from this great German ban. If you like the Scorpions then you should buy this one. All 70's.

まず選曲の多さに驚きました。「FLY TO THE RAINBOW 邦題：電撃の蠍団」tr1〜tr5「IN TRANCE 邦題：復讐の蠍団」tr6〜tr11「VIRGIN KILLER 邦題：狂熱の蠍団」tr12〜tr17それぞれ7曲中5曲、10曲中6曲、9曲中6曲とかなりのボリュームでお買い得です。あと他のレビュワーさんは「Hell Cat」「Polar Nights」が入っていないことを強調しているんでしょうが、少し誤解を招くので一応書いておきますが「Drifting Sun」「Dark Lady」はウリがリードボーカルで歌っています。いずれにしろ日本でも特に人気の高かったこの時代の3枚が1枚になった、これは本当にお買い得です。スコーピオンズというと爽快でキレのいいリフが印象的ですが、初期の頃はこーんなにアングラ感たっぷりの妖しいバンドだったわけです。ただウリといえばやはり「The Sails Of Charon」が有名ですが、この曲はこのアルバムに収録されていないので別個に買う必要があります。ウリ在籍時には4枚スタジオアルバムを出しましたが、最初の3枚の中からの選曲がこのベストに入っています。4枚目の「Taken By Force」からは1曲も入ってない点はご留意を…。
