Yes! I found it works great on calls, and it can cancel out background noise whilst on the call

Should be fine, the headphones come with a really short usb type C cable though

Hi Leo, When the headset is connected to an AC outlet or computer, all operations such as turning on the headset, registering or connecting to Bluetooth devices, and music playback cannot be performed. Q: Can you switch off the microphone?

Depends on the device with which you connect. If you connect the headphone with a Win-10 device, there are two options: WI-1000XM2 Stereo and WI-1000XM2 Hands-Free AG Audio. Stereo is without microphone and the other is with microphone.
