Subtle, Easy to Blend & Buildable
I have many eyeshadow palettes, this is my first experience with this brand and I'm very pleased with this little 8-pan.The pallet is small and easy to travel with, the outer case is made of a very interesting tweed-like material on the outside. It has a good range of shades from very light to nearly black so you can create a good number of looks with it. It reminds me of the original Naked mini palette but the shades are bigger and I think better. The shades are truly neutral which is nice as so many of these nude palettes pull warm/orange. The top four shades are truly matte, the bottom four have a nice shimmer that is subtle enough to wear during the daytime/work.The shadows are finely milled, remind me a bit of Bobbi Brown shadows. They are not completely opaque or ultra pigmented in one swipe, but more of a buildable formula. This makes them very easy and pleasant to blend out quickly. The mattes do kick up a bit of powder in the pan, you might give your brush a tap to minimize fallout. The shimmers are more velvety, I would use a firmer brush or finger for the best payoff. All the shades performed about equally well, the deepest shade is a bit sheerer than the others but builds well.I think this palette lives up to the claims made, this is a brand for someone who likes easy-to-use, foolproof, natural looking makeup. The pans are a decent size, I think the value is good. Overall I'm pleased with this and I think it's great if you're looking for true neutral undertone shades.

Holy Grail Palette
12.9.22~ One of the best palettes I've used. The top & bottom colors are perfectly complemented.Top is high pigment matte. Bottom is the same tone in a shimmer. You can layer the shimmer over the matte for a lil sumthin sumthin.Or add wherever you need a little sparkle. Like cheeks or collarbone. The matte is as pigmented as Mac or Mented. As good with a dab of a clean ring finger, as it is on a brush. The color will stay solo for hours, even though dancing & sweating. But over a primer, Like Laura Geller Spackle. Needs remover to get it off, after dancing.'Lune + Aster' Celestial Nudes are great for day or drama.Good on Cool or Warm tone skin as they are buildable & layer.Added bonus? The smaller than a phone case has a real, full-face mirror.Easily one of the rare few that gives you performance & results.

Shimmers are satins. Mattes are great. Palette has weird plastic smell
This comes in an outer product box. It’s made in the USA. Ingredients are on packaging. It’s gluten free, paraben free, phthalate free, cruelty free, and vegan. The palette is really nice. It has a nice look to it that’s a little different than usual. It’s a dark brown with a textured look to it with the brand name imprinted into the front. The back has the shade names. It has a nice weight. It’s small, but the pans are still good enough sizes to easily fit brushes into them. There’s a mirror on the lid. It has magnetic closure. You get 4 mattes on the top row and 4 shimmers on the bottom row.MATTESThe mattes are great! They’re soft and smooth and have good pigment but are easy to blend out. I love there’s a very light bone colored shade and it increases in depth up to a very dark brown. The darkest brown is a cool toned, greyish brown, which isn’t usually included in palettes (usually a warm toned dark brown or a black), so I really liked that! They’re easy to work with and last well on the eyes. I reach for these a lot when I need some mattes for a good, quick look.SHIMMERSThese are satins, not what I call shimmers. I personally usually prefer the wet, metallic look. Unfortunately for me, they are satins without much sheen. If I wet them, I get a little more intensity but still not much. Satins just aren’t my favorite formula. But that’s my personal preference. If you like satins, then you’d probably be happier with this than I am. To be fair, the swatches of this palette shown in the product photos, didn’t make them look like they were any intense shimmers that had a wet, metallic look to them. They looked subtle like satins. So, its not as if it claimed to have some amazing shimmers/wet looking metallics. So, it is living up to what it claims to be. The very last shimmer, the black, isn’t really a shimmer or satin. It’s a matte with micro glitter in it. The micro glitter does stay in it well. Most mattes with micro glitter as soon as I try blending out the edge, the micro glitter pieces fly out and I just end up with a matte with a speck of glitter here or there. So I never see the point of them. This one seems to hold onto the micro glitter better. But I would have preferred to have just a regular matte or another regular satin shade. But that’s personal preference.I like that this has a really light satin shade to use for inner corner and brow bone highlight. I also like it for my lid shade because with my really small, really hooded eyes I don’t like using darker shades on the inner area of my eye. It makes it look smaller and more closed off. But, unfortunately, the other satins in this are darker, so it doesn’t leave me much in variety except for using the light satin with the different colored mattes.I notice the color story has a matte for each satin - a light matte and satin, a medium matte and satin, a medium dark matte and satin, and a dark matte and satin. So you could easily mix and match.I do notice a kind of plastic smell when I’m using this. It’s odd. I think it must be the palette itself, not the actual eyeshadows. I don’t know if it’s the material they used or what it is, but it’s not something I really want to smell with my eyeshadows, especially higher priced ones like this. Fortunately, I only notice it if I have the palette near my nose (like if I’m using the mirror in the palette to do my eye look, then I’ll have it right up near my eye since it’s small, and that’s when I smell it. Otherwise I don’t smell it). But, I wanted to mention it.Overall, I really love the mattes in this. They aren’t too warm. So many neutrals are always warm toned. I like these are neutral and even have the darkest matte that is a cool toned shade. They’re easy to work with. They have good pigment but they aren’t so pigmented where it takes forever to blend them out. They can also be built up slowly if that’s what you want too. The satins aren’t really for me. I just don’t like the satin finish. If you do, then I’d definitely recommend this palette. If you’re like me and aren’t a fan of satin finish for shimmers, then I wouldn’t really recommend this unless you don’t mind paying the price tag just for 4 mattes. To me, $48 is way too pricey for 4 matte shades even though they’re a nice formula. But, if you don’t mind, then they are a nice formula! I give this 4 stars. The things I don’t like about the palette are all personal preference and are nothing against the palette and formula. It never claimed to have intense, metallic looking shimmers or anything like that. Even the swatches shown in product photos looked subtle. So, I wouldn’t give less stars just because it doesn’t fall in line with my personal preference. It would be 5 stars if it didn’t have the weird kind of plastic smell.

Terrible Smell--Truly Awful
I don't know if I received a palette of Lune+Aster Celestial Nudes Eyeshadow Palette that had been stored badly, or if the plastic palette is off-gassing somehow, but this eyeshadow palette smells so rank that I will not touch the shadows to my face, let alone my eyelids. When I first opened the palette, it looked brilliant. The colors were perfectly neutral, which appeals to me. However, when I dipped my brush into the colors and swirled, a horrible smell wafted past my nose. I can't tell if it's the container or the shadows, but it smells like mold. This is a product I cannot review.

Nice palette of neutrals
First, I love the case on this. It looks sleek, has magnetic closure, and has a nice big mirror. Really helps it feel like a luxury product. The shadows themselves are great too. A nice mix of matte and shimmer shades in browns that should work well for most skin tones. It wears well with a nice level of pigmentation and no fallout. I have only recently discovered this brand and I’ve been impressed with the 2 products I’ve tried. Definitely a high quality brand!

Am enjoying these shades 😊
This is a good pallette of nudes that can be used to make more of a dramatic look- which technically would be more of a night look but sometimes I do that during the day 💁♀️ It also creates soft and pretty looks. My first time trying eyeshadows from this brand and I am happy with this palette. I wear brown shadows the most and not all browns...whether lighter or darker, have the same look on me. These happen to work well with me and I like the different shades in the palette
