There's a lot of options in terms of portable seating out there from folding chairs to seat canes to telescope chairs to folding step stools. These folding camp stools work great for travel/hiking. They take about 20 secs to set up and 30 sec to put away. They are very compact and lightweight. They will fit in a backpack, about the size of a medium sized umbrella.They are not the most comfortable chairs. People with bigger rears may feel pressure from the frame. They are a couple inches shorter than regular seating height, so some people may find it difficult to get up after sitting on it. Quality is average. Not sure how long they will last.I think these are great alternatives as a just in case chair when traveling, standing in lines, gardening, waiting at the airport, etc. I find these better than the tripods chairs or there. They take the same time to set up but collapse to minimal space and can fit inside a bag.

I picked this seat because of the compact form factor. My partner and I are well within the weight specifications and are satisfied with the durability thus far. My only reservation is that it can be sometimes tricky to get the legs to retract, but everything else i.e. weight, seat functionality, ease of opening and extending, returning to the sleeves, portability with sleeve handles, is great so I can overlook that one hangup.

These are very small and lightweight. We wanted a footrest while camping, so these are great as far as packing and not adding too much weight. One of them doesn’t stand up very well if you put too much pressure on one of the legs. I would have liked something a little sturdier but for the price these are fine.

A bit heavy. Have used for watching golf tournaments and day hiking. Comfortable for short rests. Would not recommend for long term sitting.

I give a 3 stars not because the product doesn't Do what it says it does but because I ordered a pair of These one of which worked great while the other the fabric was not attached to the rest of it almost as if it was sat on and it broke. The fabric was wrapped around the legs As if to say "we know its broken use your piece of crab Anyways. Thanks for the money though". I will never buy these from this seller again and I strongly recommend everyone else be wary when they buy this product.

These chairs are perfect! I took them in to a music festival and they were a life saver. Everything from giving us a place to sit to waiting for artist to come on stage. It fit my boyfriend and I perfectly. I’m 5’1” and 130lbs and he is 6’4” and 200 lbs and I can say that the chairs were comfortable for both of us. Additionally, they are super easy to set up—takes about 3 seconds—and they fit perfectly in a small stadium backpack. Not heavy at all either. Very convenient for places in which you can’t find a lot of seating.

Well constructed of quality materials. It's rare to find stainless steel legs on a stool like this. Durable fabric seat.Sturdy, stable, and versatile design. It's a great addition to my camping gear. It's an amazingly comfortable little stool, and it also works great as a footrest when I'm stretching out in a camping armchair. It's also the perfect height for use as a side table to hold a book or lantern. Or, with a tray placed on top, a cold drink!And the 2-pack is an excellent value. So glad to have them!
