70188 Advent calendar "Christmas in the toy store"

This was a huge success for my girls, I bought it for them when they were 2 and 4 and the pieces are completely fine size wise. There are so many things included and there is a really good toy behind every day. It comes with a very handy cardboard cover that shows exactly what's underneath every day which is really useful because I swapped the days around when I saw that you didnt get Santa and the sleigh until a few days before Christmas Eve which is such a waste cos you're missing so much potential play with those items in the run up to Christmas. So I changed the days around so they got these on the first days of December instead and my daughters were so young they didn't notice.Once all the doors have been opened it makes a really good play set and we have put it away with the Christmas decorations and take it out every Christmas, my girls get so much play out of it. Would absolutely recommend as an advent calendar.

The Playmobil Country Farm Advent Calander set is an excellent set, especially for the price I paid it was a bargain.Recently I looked at the price for the two cows with velvety fur that are included in the set to but as a Spare Part and they cost about seven or eight pounds. I did a rough count of the cost of the animals alone and it came to around £15, then add the other acessories, 3 people, tractor etc. I paid just over £9 for the set.I had looked to buy this for this years Advent Calender but found the Christmas Ball on offer so bought that, then a few days ago I found this set on offer - too good to pass up, especially when the recipient loves animals.As they have just received a couple of playmobil sets for their birthday and will receive quite a few for Christmas this will be put aside for another time, maybe Easter or my magic cupboard (a place where I keep a few gifts for times where little ones are under the weather and need a cheeing up).I have checked out all the pieces and put together the bits that need assembling so when opened it can be played with straight away. It has lots of tiny pieces, three mice and 6 chickens plus lots of other items and no stickes or great assembly, have to say I somethimes dread assembly of Playmobil and have not bought some sets due to the assembly it needs.If I had been looking to buy this at full price I a not sure I would have paid £20, if I did I would not have paid more, as Playmobil, Amazon and other sellers often have offers it pays to check prices (especially whe the Playmobil often have offers or Bundle Deals).

Excellent piece

I've no idea why most of the reviews are not in regards to the calender?Anyhow this review is. We love Playmobil. It's robust and possibilities are endless with the amount of sets that are out. This calender is absolutely amazing, like all the other playmobil calanders. My daughter asks for a different one every year (she's 7). Perfect calanders for older kids for sure because they do have a few smaller bits in. I just love how well thought out it is. With the whole cardboard background so your child can really use their imagination. We put all our calanders together (the fairy one, Santa's grotto etc) and they are all played with as one big story.Seriously worth the money even full price.

Bought for my 20month old daughter. She’s used to playing with toys this kind of size. Most of the items that come out of the windows are instant hits and fine to play with on their own. There are a couple of days where you just pull out a box of carrots or a tray, but even those she liked!The windows are a little fiddly for little fingers so we had to help her get each thing out. This is a good thing really as it means we knew what she was getting and could explain it to her.Overall it makes an exciting playful alternative to chocolate calendars which I don’t really agree with. Having a new toy every day definitely helped my daughter begin to understand time, waiting, patience and the ideas behind advent calendars.She still plays with the toys, not just as a scene but individually too.And they can all be added to bigger sets.

I had this delivered today and wow what a bargain, I bought the LOL Surprise and the elf on the shelf and in comparison this was by far the best value for money, its much larger, better quality and more toys for your money.I was fortunate enough to buy on Black Friday so I did get it over half price, but after paying £25 for elf on the shelf advent I would have been more than thrilled at this product at full price or more.If you have got this far, do not hesitate click the buy button

Although it wasn't bought as a toy originally, its been used constantly since Christmas, so the durability of the cardboard "backdrop Farm" is wearing a bit, but its been a most loved item of play. Would buy another of the choices.

This advent calendar was such a wonderful find! A little pricier than some others out there, but sooo worth the price! The figures and little toys are so well-made and sturdy! My 3yo loves it, that will be a toy to keep for years to come! This was my first time buying Playmobil and I am truly impressed.
