Impressively solid build quality
UPDATE JUNE 2022:Unit continues to perform very well, but I noticed the motor housing was getting hotter and hotter with each use (even though these were generally <90 seconds). Another reviewer mentioned their unit was overheating due to having internal wiring designed to operate at 220 Volts, rather than 110V. When I opened my unit up, I noticed I was well on the way towards burning off the insulation on the wires supplying the electric motor. I replaced these wires with 12 Gauge, stranded copper wire. This completely solved the problem; now my unit hardly heats up at all. This seems like a potential SAFETY HAZZARD, particularly for units run for lengthy periods in dusty conditions (like grinding flour). If your unit seems to be getting hot, I suggest you check your motor wiring for deterioration.```````````````Original review: April 2021```````````````````````````````````````I needed a better method to grind the grains and spices I use for bread baking. I bought a "used-like new" unit, which saved me about $40 off a brand new one. Aside from a small remnant of what looked like almonds in the chamber, the unit did appear brand new. It is a heavy, sturdy, not-messing-around machine. The only controls are on/off and a timer, so it takes a little practice to learn how long to process each food to your desired finenss.A couple of examples: my unit ground sage (leaves, stems and small branches) to a flour-like consistency in about 90 seconds. Brown rice only took 60 seconds to reach flour-like fineness. Coffee beans got to a coarse grind in about 10 seconds, and to espresso fineness in 20.The unit is somewhat noisy, but certainly less so than doing these same jobs with a blender or food processor. I should also note that the unit works by beating rather than cutting. The blade assembly is quite heavy, and just pounds things into a powder. On the subject of blades: my unit shipped with two spare blades, as well as 2 sets of replacement brushes for the electric motor. There are clear instructions on how to replace both. This, along with the weight and studriness of the unit, indicates to me it will last a long time even under heavy use. Also included was a small brush for cleaning, and a fine-mesh sieve that fits over the top of the unit. I can recommend this unit to anyone who grinds dry items into flour. After years of grinding dry ingredients (not very well) with a food processor or blender, I'm ecstatic with this unit's performance.

Does a great job at turning stuff into powder
It is loud and it is not the easiest for everyday use but on our first use we took dehydrated tomatoes from our garden and used this machine to make a very fine tomato powder that we can now use for artisan Breads and pizza crust. It did very well and there are no visible seeds in the powder. very happy with the results

Do not waste your money & time on this thing!
I purchased this item twice and the moment I put a couple of twigs in it both times. The machine started smoking up and became in operable. This machine does not stand up to the claims. The first time I purchased this, I thought that it was something I did wrong. I didn’t have any warranty on it, so I was out of this item again put less items in the second one and still same negative results do not waste your money do now is your time on this item?

Quality of flour is great, just can't withstand commercial usage.
The machine is better quality to this knock-off we purchased through e-Bay. The flour it made was great and takes about 5 minutes when you're operating it at full capacity like we were. We were using it for 4-6 hours per week to go through about 25 lbs of raw material. However, we had to take apart the machine because it began to intermittently start and abruptly stop. Upon doing so, we noticed that the wiring was for 220v (China's standard) and needed to be double the gauge for 110v for usage in the US. From our heavy usage, some of the wires actually melted together by the plastic sheathing due to the heat generated by them, even burning a little to the plastic case covering the controls.Overall, the quality of flour it produce was very fine and suited our purpose but likely due to the high demand/usage on our part did the machine not live up to our needs.

Pretty good so far
So far I really like this mill. However, it is my first. It's fast and shuts off when it's grinded fine.Make sure to wash everything before you use it. You need to unscrew the pieces in the middle. In between those inside pieces were a lot of small pieces of metal.

Not bad...not great
Let's start with the good stuff:- Mills fast- Powder can be produced in seconds- Seals well to prevent dust dispersion during operation. When opening, wait a minimum of a few seconds for powder to settle. Apply pressure to the lid while loosening the latches in case pressure had built up in the chamber resulting in powder being forced out when opening.Gave three stars because:- Screws rust quicky even with immediate cleaning and drying after use. Doubt they're made with galvanised steel or 304 stainless steel.- Noisy. Recommend using with ear plugs.- Gets hot after use for as little as 2mins so be very careful and keep at a height not easily accessible to children to be on the safe side.- Be careful when cleaning the lid, when flipped over to clean inside, the outer edges are sharp enough to cut you. I recommend using a q-tip

Powders Kratom leaves well
It does a great job turning leaves into powder but it does get hot. It's really a product of friction so it's unavoidable but it's good information for those using it. Heating some things up can destroy it's potency. Luckily there is a sweet spot where its powder and not too hot. You can also run/cool/run as needed but that is inconvenient. Its powerful enough to powder cinnamon stick easily. Opening too soon after powered will make a mess and potentially and powerfully spicy cloud. I have learned.
