SIKA Sanisil Rapide is a sanitary special quick-setting acetic silicone sealant designed to resist fungus and mold. Its quick drying allows to be exposed to shower water after 1 hour of curing between +23 °C and +30 °C and about 50% RH. A+ certification. Applications: suitable for applications in sanitary or other caulking where resistance to mold is required. Application method: The support must be clean, dry, healthy, and homogeneous, free of oils, grease, dust and particles not adherent or friable from the paint and other weakly adhering elements must be removed. Completely remove old sealants and any products that may affect adhesion. Regardless of its nature, the support should always be dusted and degreased. Degrease the supports with a clean cloth lightly impregnated with burning alcohol or acetone. Before applying the putty, leave to dry for at least 15 minutes. Install in the joint to the required depth, a SIKA seal bottom of section adapted to the width of the seal. Cut the tapered end of the cartridge to which the laying cannula is screwed. Then cut it into a bevel to the desired diameter. Apply the sealant in continuous joint avoiding any inclusion of air with a manual, pneumatic or electric gun. Tighten the putty against the supports and then immediately afterwards, smooth its surface dry with a spatula, before it forms a skin, avoiding crushing the joint so that the runoff water flows naturally.
