Vikings: Season 5 Volume 2 [DVD]

My daughter recommended the Vikings series to me after I mentioned finding discounted bluray discs for it at a retailer. I've purchased and watched season 1-5 now. My secret habit when it comes to period settings like that of the Vikings series, is to access the internet as I watch curious if something I see on the screen or in the script is historically truthful. I think the emphasis on fantasy in Game of Thrones misled me to expect the same from Vikings. But it's been a wonderful education in a part of world history I didn't know enough about. The Vikings really did lay siege to Paris! For me, the most remarkable subplot to the Viking series is that depicting the struggle between the spiritual faiths of the Vikings in contrast to Christianity, and how they began to co-exist. And in some respect, they merged. I'm fascinated by this history. Thank you Michael Hirst!

Vikings gives it's true fans another killer season full of drama, killing, fight scenes that are able to make it's fans go oh my God. I had mix feelings for this season because of how the show left it hangs in the balance. But still, it's actors proved it can achieve anything when comes to one of most popular shows currently on TV when it was made and lasted 6 seasons. A must buy for any true fan of the show and you will not regret it at all.

The whole series

This show was presumed to be dead in the water while this current season was being filmed and rumors circulated that the episodes weren't even going to be transferred to DVD format for English audiences. And yet, this tremendous and thrilling edition popped up all the sudden!! Man, I would advise newcomers to start the series fresh from the beginning, but any veteran fans who have followed the events of the show will love it. Sure, the happy ending may not be a trend for any of our favorite characters this season, still, even if my number one most hated villain on the show brutally murders my favorite longtime character, like it's OK! Simply put, there are enough interesting characters with varying and vastly different personal motives & ambitions, so getting to watch these plots unfold in usually unexpected ways is a treat for any long time fans!! This is a high point for the show in my opinion. I have even heard that there will for sure be a Season 6 of Vikings, so apparently all the right vibes are being felt by the showrunners too!! Vikings Season 5 makes a bold statement and further establishes this shows status among cable tv legends!!

Batalhas épicas, intrigas políticas e muita ação.Uma observação que faço é para a necessidade da Amazon enviar blu-rays e DVDs em em embalagens mais resistentes, porque esse envio em sacos plásticos podem causar danos, como fazer soltar os discos dentro do estojo, provocando riscos ou arranhões.

The first three seasons were really engrossing but after that the drama started to become stretched out with no depth. Up to now, I cannot seem to get into season 5. Before I couldn't stop watching the drama.
